Fabulous Japanese restaurant — contemporary and traditional Japanese fare made with fine quality ingredients, attractively plated and served. Well-designed interiors with a water view makes for a really great dining experience, especially on a sunny day. Tea is brewed with loose leaf, not tea bags. The rice is high grade, much better than one gets in most Asian restaurants. (Quality and proper selection of rice is almost predictive of ranking of a Japanese restaurant.) Everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. Ample parking in front; physically handicapped accessible. Friendly/attentive staff. Personally, after experiencing the quality here it’s difficult to go anywhere else for Japanese cuisine!

This isn’t just “good sushi around the area”, Crazy Stone would be amazing sushi in any location. You can tell they have a lot of pride in their work with the rolls always being perfectly rolled and their presentation being on point. Me and a coworker ate here several times on a work trip and had great experiences every time.

Crazy Stone is fantastic. hands down one of my most favorite sushi restaurants. I stay in Marlborough for work and always frequent here. Last time I was in town for 2 weeks and I went 6 times. It would have been more but I diversified and tried two other sushi restaurants. They were not nearly as good. Sticking with Crazy Stone!!

I just realized I never left a review for you guys, and I honestly can’t believe it, because this has been one of my favorite restaurants in Massachusetts for years.

This place truly fits every moment of life: a quick solo lunch, a casual meal with your girlfriends, or even a date night with your husband. In fact, me and my hub, we got married on March 16, 2020, the day before the quarantine, and this was the place you had our celebration dinner. Since then, it has remained one of our go-to spots in town.

I used to work at Master Cut, the butcher market on Boston Post Road, and every Friday I would place a pickup order here. Soon the entire team was ordering too, I made everyone addicted to it!

Everything is always spotless, fresh, and delicious. The staff is amazing: super friendly, quick, and attentive. The food comes out fast and consistently perfect.

My all-time favorite? The Money Bag. I’ve converted so many people to it that it basically became the official order of the whole team. I’m also obsessed with the Tuna Lover, Salmon Dream… honestly, I could keep going forever.

Even though I no longer live in town, every time I travel back to the Marlborough area, this is one of my non-negotiable stops. I have to get my Money Bag.

Yes, prices have gone up over the years, but haven’t all places? Let’s be real. The quality, consistency, and service here make it more than worth it.

I’ll upload some photos from different moments in my life to show just how long I’ve been a loyal customer. Thank you for always delivering great food and great memories. ❤️

First of all, this establishment is my favorite in the area. 5 stars all the way, although, today, maybe 4 from me. I’d like to see more sushi options that aren’t raw or vegetarian. I can’t have raw fish at the moment, but I still want to enjoy different sushi options that aren’t vegetarian or vegan. The food was great and the service was also wonderful. I’m thrown off by the music in the establishment though. I’m sure anybody can enjoy country music, esp to get through the work day, but it’s genuinely not something I want to hear during business hours. I stopped in for a late lunch at 2pm because they said they were closed at 3pm-4pm for their meal, but they sat down at 2:40 instead. I understand workers need to eat when they can, but 3-4 should be accurate, because during this time, I had no service. The only positive was the yummy food and that the country music was turned off. Otherwise, I love this place and I will always return. Just a few tweaks. That’s what reviews are for, right?

One of the best sushi around. The sashimi was excellent. The steak on hot stone was quite good too and at the right price.

Thick cuts of fish that tasted great and fresh. Ordered takeout on DoorDash and was packaged so nicely that nothing moved, not even the toppings, while in transit. Will order again!

Unexpected treat in an unassuming building, with a lovely view of the pond. Really fresh sushi, very attentive service, would definitely come back.

We are locals who used to come to this restaurant often and always enjoyed it, but our last visit was extremely disappointing.

The customer service was very poor. We tried a new dish that we didn’t like, so we informed the manager. He offered to take the plate back, which obviously implies the dish would not be charged. He removed the plate from the table, but when the bill arrived we were still charged for it.

At first we thought it must have been a mistake, but when we brought it up, instead of fixing it they started arguing with us and refused to remove the charge. Who takes a plate back and still charges the customer for it?

Also, when we asked about Japanese fried chicken (karaage), we were told to go to a Chinese restaurant instead. Karaage is a Japanese dish, so I would expect a Japanese restaurant to know what it is and not recommend going to a Chinese place.

We were loyal customers who used to come here often, but this experience completely changed our impression of the place. Very disappointing and very unprofessional.

This is my favorite restaurant! Also my go-to recommendation whenever I hang out with friends or showing guests around the area. The sushi is fantastic and very high quality; the chefs don’t skimp on how much fish you get in your sushi, and it tastes very fresh. The pricing is totally worth it for the sushi you get. I habitually go to Crazy Stone or order take out practically several times a month.

My all-time favorite order is the sushi lunch where I can pick any 3 rolls from an assortment and miso soup, and it’s only $17.50 (see pictures below)!

The atmosphere of the store is serene while having lots of character. There is a cherry blossom tree with little notes (wishes I believe) that people hung on it. If seated in the back tables, there is a stunning view of the lake and surrounding trees and animals (lots of swans!).

The waiters are also incredibly nice. They took a polaroid photo of me and my friends, and we put it up on their photo wall!

I could not recommend Crazy Stone more. Especially if you are an avid sushi lover like myself!!
