Tried this place for the first time and we were pleasantly satisfied! Service was quick and super friendly waitress! The salsa was very flavorful, they have lemonade with 4 different add in flavors if you want, no extra charge and free refills which was awesome, got the piña colada lemonade and it was amazing. The Pollo bandito with chorizo added was good and portions were large. We’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in Salina and this place deserves more people coming in!

A good place worth a stop. A great place for Mexican food right off I 135. Fresh chips and salsa with white queso that is the perfect consistency. My current favorite is a modified version of the Burrito Bandera. I request that they forgoe the red sauce and do 1/2 queso and 1/2 verde. I usually get a side of their verde sauce since it is so very good. The steak is cut small so there are plenty of crispy edges. Kids meals are available and the quesadilla as well as chips and salsa are a big hit with the young one.

Our whole visit was what I’d call average. Average food for an average price; not raving but not bashing either. I’d describe our service the same. Could’ve been better but it could’ve been worse—it took a long time for refills of chips & drinks as well as to receive our check, esp for not being terribly busy. Halfway through they turned up the music—so loud we couldn’t hear each other at the table—to celebrate a birthday but then didn’t turn it back down.

La Morenita in Salina is a fantastic new spot that you must try, especially if you’re passing through on I-135. It’s super easy to access from the interstate. The menu is impressively large and well-categorized, offering a variety of choices along with a section to build your own combination platters. There’s even a kids’ menu! Our food came out quickly and was piping hot. The prices were very reasonable, and our waitress was extremely pleasant, nice, and knowledgeable about the food. The dining room is spacious with colorful decor, and there’s even a separate room for parties or large gatherings. Highly recommend!

Went on a whim for lunch on a Thursday. there was noone else there. We ordered the mexican guacamole and it did not disappoint. Also ordered the tacos hawaiian. The flan and fried icecream made an inpression too.
Only downfall is they were out of carbonation for drinks.
Music was a little loud for my liking but with noone else around it was likely reverbing off the walls.

Ordered shredded steak enchilada. Got three first had no meat. Second had a little but chopped and not shredded. Third had some more meat than the second but still chopped and disappointing small portion. They did apologize and were polite and service was decent. But now I know why no one else was here @ 8pm on a Saturday when they close at 9:30. Sent my plate back and paid nothing. My wife liked her order with no complaints.

The dining area was spacious and clean, bright and comfortable. The booth seats felt new (or at least refurbished) which was nice. There appears to be a bar in the front that is not a working space yet. Food was fresh and the bathroom was clean, stocked and in good repair.
