Like most of JOEY management, CEO Jeff Fuller started his remarkable journey flipping burgers, washing dishes and sweeping floors. It’s called paying your dues, learning from the ground up and understanding what success takes. “If there’s a secret,” he says, “it’s hard work, unwavering commitment to the customer and assembling the very best people.” Jeff absorbed valuable lessons from his family’s successful businesses before striking out on his own with a brand new concept in upscale casual restaurants. The first JOEY opened in 1992 and, as word spread, plans for a second location were quickly in the works. Today there are 27 JOEY Restaurants across Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Seattle and California.

It’s nice that this place greets you with a glass of champagne. Reiker greeted us and Kat and Britney are awesome bartenders, very attentive. Love their recommendations they gave us for food. And it was happy hour when we came, they gave us great suggestions on drinks. Their happy hours run 9pm to close Sundays through Thursdays, I’m sure they have an afternoon one as well.

The food is what you usually expect from Joey’s restaurants. Tasty but not too healthy in terms of a lot of sugar, butter and oil.
The atmosphere was ok, but so much noisy. Too much to our taste. It was a bit hard to talk due to the noise of the background music.

Glenn was an amazing server, he knew exactly what we needed when we needed it, the food was amazing and there was barely any wait time when we went. And I appreciated the full length privacy bathroom doors. If you sat in a certain area, you could watch the kitchen symphony from your seats. Excellent service, not an intimate dining setting, but upbeat and modern.

Great customer service from walking in the door to walking out the door. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the tofu bowl, hubby ordered the steak & lobster spaghetti and our 3 year old grandson had the kids burger – we all enjoyed our meals and left super full. The drinks are on the pricey side, but with the quality food & customer service, I can’t complain. I appreciate that they had a decent amount of vegetarian options and even though they don’t have a physical kid’s menu, they have a good amount of kids options to choose from – 2 different kinds of pasta, burger, chicken tenders & I believe 1 more item I’m forgetting. Pictured is my tofu bowl, as I didn’t get a picture of anything else.

We came to Joeys for dinner after a girls night. The hostess was amazing and super sweet and took us to our table since we had a reservation. But alas the pleasant experience stopped there .
Our waitress Karly or Carly came and took our order. After that initial interaction she was gone with the wind. From about 8:20to when we left around 10:10 she walked by our table a few dozens of times and came to our table maybe 4 times to check on us. She took our drinks and starter order and dipped.
My main was taken by another waitress, by friend didn’t get an opportunity to order a main, her dessert order was taken by another waitress. Who were all super sweet .
At some point after being ignored We started a timer for how long it took for her to check on us . And it took usually an average of 29 minutes.
Picture attached is the medium “sirloin” I ordered. The presentation was terrible and looks it just got tossed on the plate . The steak was 100% NOT SIRLOIN AT ALL and was more on the well done side, chewy , and cold and for $50 dollars at least serve me what I ordered
I had to flag another waitress down to get some more water.
When our actual waitress finally came to give us our check my friend ordered an apple pie to go and it took 30 minutes for us to get it and that was only because we went up and asked the hostess who was so super sweet and apologized. At that point the restaurant was not as busy as it was earlier in the evening so for us to wait 30 minutes for dessert was unacceptable.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and I initially considered coming back but I am a one time customer . I’ll take my dollars where I am welcomed

Enjoyed a wonderful evening at Joey Southcenter. Aubrey was an amazing server with a wonderful attitude. She was super attentive and gave great suggestions. The ceviche was great and the steak & sushi were awesome. We finished with a GF lava cake & espresso martini. The absolute highlight was Aubrey’s service & personality. Highly recommend!!

Always an upscale time. Greated with bubbly. The drinks are great. Beer is icy. Chicken wings are a must and always add a sushi roll while you’re at it. We stopped in tonight and while it was busy, the two of us grabbed a nice seat for a couple rounds. Bar seating was tough, but we got a table no problem.

We came for happy hour and had Eternity as our server. She was super attentive and made sure we got our orders in as needed. We each got all the adult snacks packs and it was so good and such a good deal! The other standout was the scallop and shrimp ceviche, such a flavorful bite! Overall had a great experience at Joeys tonight!

I haven’t been to Joeys in a long time. I came in for HH on Tuesday, 10/14/25 and was pleasantly surprised with the new Adult Happy meals. The fries seem the same – delicious! The hummus was nicely seasoned and came with tzatziki, as well as some pita chips (they were excellent warm). Our table also enjoyed the shrimp lettuce wraps – it reminded me of their orange chicken back in the day. I couldn’t decide on what else to eat and our waitress, Eternity suggested a few items and I settled on the spaghetti pomodoro. It did not disappoint!! Nice portion size and perfect level of spiciness. The service was excellent. She was attentive, personable and made sure we had what we needed without being pushy. I appreciate her smile because I was so indecisive, I’m sure it was annoying waiting for me while she could’ve helped other tables. Please thank her for not making me feel rushed. Overall experience was a 10/10! I’ll be back sooner than I thought.
