On this day I had the Gyoza and the Fried Spicy.

SERVICE: The service was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive (but no overly so). I was seated immediately and given sufficient time to order without feeling rushed.

FOOD: The gyoza was great and portions good, making it a great value. The exterior was crunchy and contents chewy, making for a pleasant experience.

The “Fried Spicy” is a fried roll with the fried seaweed exterior containing (from exterior to interior): rice, cucumber and tuna. What I loved about this roll were the generous portions, the textural variation (crunchy exterior, chewy interior), the freshness of the ingredients, the tuna’s taste and texture along with the complex flavor profile provided by the ingredients, sauces and the hint of sesame oil which all hit at different points when consuming the meal. Fantastic.

Never explored YubaCity a whole lot since I come from Sacramento, but meeting my newly found Girlfriend who lives here she said if you like sushi Kenzo Sushi is the place to go. And so we in fact had our first dinner date here, and I’ll say service was very generous, food very exceptional, and environment was cozy. I’m happy with my experience.

I haven’t been here for a few years now but it’s better than ever. We came on a Thursday night and it was really busy. We got seated quickly and ordered right away. Wait time wasn’t too bad, and the atmosphere was great. All employees were very professional and friendly and the food was delicious! The salmon MELTS in your mouth but my favorite was the Ika (Squid), it was my first time trying raw sushi/sashimi. Oh! And the lemonade is so good here! We kept getting refills lol Definitely recommend coming to Kenzo, it’s great!

This place is worth trying because they offer so many options, and most of them are really good! It’s clean (including the restrooms), and the servers are friendly and welcoming. Personally, I find it a bit cold inside, so I always bring a jacket.

Last time, I ordered fried gyoza (two orders), but they were way too greasy, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the Spider Maki and Dragon Maki were absolutely delicious—I’d recommend them to anyone!

I was really heartbroken when they took the hot stone bibimbap off the menu. Honestly, I haven’t been back over a year now because the prices feel a bit too high. I ended up eating Sam’s club sushi. If they have bibimbap back I might come back again.

I didn’t pay for the meal so I’m not 100% sure on all the prices since I didn’t get to see my bill.

I felt the sashimi and sushi combination plate was priced ok except there was no variety in it. The pieces were generous in size but it was a repeat of both sides. So you ended up with 4 pieces of the same fish with only 3 different kinds

Service was rather lackluster. There was no quality check. I was out of tea for a long time. The server didn’t have everything ready before our meal so we had to wait for the Utensils while our food had already been served.
If it was based on the service it’s a 3.

The albacore tuna had a bit of the iridescent color which makes me think it wasn’t stored properly. The fish tasted fine though.

Everyone enjoyed their meals, but if it was only based on this dinner they might have gotten a 3.

This place can get very busy as there aren’t that many great Japanese restaurants nearby. It has a parking lot but it can fill up easily.

Everything I have ordered is good. The hot green tea has a different taste and their homemade salad dressing is really good. Just make sure to come during the it opens since they have an interruption in their opening hours when they are closed.

Absolutely the best I’ve ever had They have a homemade salad dressing that is absolutely to die for. I asked them if I could buy some even because it’s so good. I had the Ramen bowl absolutely amazing and I had the Americana. It is absolutely the best sushi I’ve ever had and I don’t like sushi.

Too bad no stars is not an option. My friend and I went in today during lunch. Yes I understand it was busy lunch hour but the terrible service came from the waitress Chiyomi. She seemed annoyed the whole time. She took our drink orders and then we didn’t see her again for another 15 mins and only cause I asked another waitress to find her so we could order. The fact she never came back to ask if we wanted an appetizer or to order should have been my indicator to leave then. But when she finally came we placed and order for 2 rolls and spicy edamame. I had to ask another waitress for straws. When the rolls came she just put them down and left. We never got ginger/wasabi on those little plates so couldn’t even pour myself some soy sauce. Had to ask another table for their sriracha. And she never once checked on us after we had our food to ask for a drink refill or anything. Overall terrible experience. Wanted to give them another shot but today reminded me why I always go to Ichiban.
