Stopped here based on other great reviews I’d seen of this place and it didn’t disappoint. It’s also a good sign that they were putting together multiple catering orders when I stopped in, but that didn’t slow down me being served to place or make my order – staff were friendly and fast.
The Italian sub was excellent – fresh bread made locally, and it was piled high, and I don’t mean with fillers like lettuce (see pic); had trouble getting my mouth around it and briefly considered chopping it up into some sort of salad before I took on the challenge. The best kind of sandwich: very delicious and very messy. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a deli who put mortadella on a sandwich too – the style, both in make-up and quantity was very New York City-esque. The tomato cheddar bisque and tabouli salad were also very good.

Martone’s is a MUST every time I visit Vermont. Their sandwiches are massive. You can customize your own or order one of their YUM options. Staff is super friendly and service is very quick. The indoor seating area is such a vibe and so cozy. I LOVE Martones!

The menu was vast with options for making almost any sandwich you can think off. They even had some yummy looking deli sides like potato’s salad. Etc
I ordered a half Italian sandwich and it was packed with Boars Head deli meats and it was absolutely fresh and fulfilling. Oooo and the bread! So good! Ideal crumb, baked to perfection.
I highly recommend, even if you’re on a quick lunch break; service was prompt and delightful

Got my hands on the veggie nirvana and boy was it a great sandwich!
The bread def lived up to the hype. They didn’t have any tabbouli left, but they added a southwestern salad that was packed with flavor. And it was huge – felt like 4 lbs!
Service was great. Got my food in 5 min and they were all such nice people.
Totally understand why it’s such a mainstay – totally worth the stop!

Delicious loaded sandwiches are amazing. Worth a drive up from White River Junction. The best in Vermont. Dark Side on a bun is deliciously over the top tasty. Friendly staff. Great seating.

Definitely would recommend to anyone in the mood for a delicious sandwich! Huge servings, great for sharing or anticipating leftovers. Everything was very fresh. Service was easy and surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. Seating is quaint and home-like.
