As a veteran of the restaurant industry, I have found your reply hilarious, but way to try to flip the script on your customer, making them the bad one. Yes, I do give out one-star reviews when deserved. I also give out 5-star reviews when earned. I also have been known on many occasions to amend a review after another visit. I can’t imagine going into Bouchon bakery or even Milk Bar and receiving something like this. Plus, if I did, they would never try to turn it back around on the customer.
And no this is not the first time we have gotten subpar items from your store, we have also received under-proofed croissants. Plus, a trip to your store is a planned event, planned, intentional event, we do not live near your store, it is a 40-minute journey to patronize your store. So, it is not exactly easy to just hop back down.
Fear not, you do not have to worry about me any further because I do not picture coming back. I do wish you the best of luck, however my review is a clear representation of the product I received. As you will also note, I only marked you down on food, I did not mark you down on service or atmosphere, why? Because you are always so nice and cordial. You always have a friendly smile. So, my review is in fact on your product served and nothing else.
It is clear the standard was missing but you would rather blame the customer for leaving a review, instead of inviting me to have a conversation and offering a remedy, you attack the patron.

Where do I even start with this amazing bakery? I have tried quite a few delicious treats from Confections Bakery: cheesecake, carrot cake, macarons (various flavors), Rocky road brownie, coffee cupcake, grasshopper cupcake, lemon posset (custard), and doggie treats! I think the ONLY downfall I can find is trying to decide which decadent dessert to choose in one visit.
This visit I could not decide on only one, so I ordered two cupcakes, a brownie, and Lemon Posset for myself along with a bag of doggie treats for my spoiled pups. Everything was absolutely magnificent! The cupcakes were moist with the perfect texture and plenty of flavor, and the frosting was to die for (no marshmallow fluff here)! I love coffee so I ordered the coffee cupcake, and it was perfect… not too overpowering on the coffee flavor; just the right amount to go with a sip of espresso. I think my favorite of this visit was the Lemon Posset (custard) So creamy and just the perfect blend of tart lemon with a little sweet fruit on top. Nathan obviously puts all his heart into each creation he bakes. His creations are delicious, his presentation is fabulous, and his customer service – impeccable!

Wow! Just wow! The macaroons are heavenly, the cheesecake beyond divine, the strawberry cream puffs sheer perfection, and the chocolate muffin so tasty. This is my new go to dessert spot!

Great friendly service. We purchased 6 lemon meringue and 4 chocolate peanut butter cup cupcakes. They were beautiful. The frosting was flawless.
Unfortunately, the cake was dry, dense, and flavorless. The lemon curd was nearly nonexistent. It looked like a miniscule drop was on top under the “meringue,” which I think was actually marshmallow fluff. The chocolate cake was disappointing. It was neither chocolate flavored nor did it have the medium crumb, cake-like texture.
Perhaps the cupcakes will improve as the bakers gain experience. I believe this is a new shop.

Nathan made our wedding cake and first of all, our consultation was so easy! My husband’s favorite part of wedding planning. He is so communicative, kind and knowledgeable with his craft. He was easy to work with in the months, weeks and days leading up to the wedding and when my vision changed, he didn’t even blink an eye, my wish was his command. He helped with the acrylic letters- I hope that’s what the were called, I don’t quite remember, that’s how good he was he took care of it all- that the cake was decorated with and the cake was gorgeous! And best of all it was delicious! his pricing is very reasonable as well.
