I had a very disappointing experience at Panera Bread. I used a $15 reward and ordered a chicken sandwich, and I also bought one for my husband. He actually told me not to get him anything because he said it would probably be nasty—but I had just been there two days ago and ordered the exact same sandwich and it was fine.
This time the food quality was terrible. The bread was soggy and the egg tasted old and not fresh at all. It was so bad that I had to drive back to the restaurant to ask for my money back. They can keep the $15.00 credit.
Even if someone is using rewards or promotions, the food should still be fresh and properly prepared. This visit was very disappointing and not what I expect from Panera. The male manager issued a refund for more than I had paid. The store can’t issue refunds back to your card . He basically lied to me. The food was returned and not consumed. Now, I have to reach out to my bank for a full refund and show them this receipt. Very dishonest manager. If anyone has any issues just reach out to the corporate office. They need to know about the food quality and customer service or there lack of.

Absolutely worst experience at a Panera in the country. Walked in and nobody was working the front counter at 8:45 in the morning. After I walked around for two or three minutes, I found somebody walking out of the restroom and told him I would like to check out. They said I would be up there in a minute. After waiting at the counter for three minutes, the same person I seen coming out of the bathroom, met me up at the counter and persisted to hurrying up through my order. As much as it cost to eat here. I would expect a little higher level of service. But who cares.

I’ve ordered from this place twice, and both times something was missing. Today, my husband ordered the Harvest Medley Chicken Salad — and there was literally no chicken in it. When he called to complain, the staff member was completely indifferent and acted as if nothing could be done simply because the order was placed through Uber Eats.
That excuse doesn’t hold up. You made the food; Uber Eats just delivered it. Sending out an incomplete dish and then refusing to take responsibility is unacceptable. Basic quality control and accountability are clearly lacking here.

The set-up of this Panera is not at all welcoming, catering only to people who want a fast in/out, avoid-contact-with-humans experience. You’re expected to know what to do – no signage. You have to walk up to a screen – not a person – to place your order. If you have questions, you’re on your own. After placing your order, you’re supposed to go to the pick up window on the other side of the restaurant – again, no signage. Questions? Fuggetaboutit. We live five minutes away and drive to a different Panera 20 minutes away because it’s not for us.

My wife and I visited two Panera locations (this location being one of them) around 7 pm on 10 Nov 2025 for Pick Two meals with soup. Both locations were out of baguettes and refused to offer any other bread, even though plenty of breads and bagels were visible behind the counter near closing that would likely be disposed of. For a brand called “Panera Bread,” this lack of common sense flexibility was disappointing enough to make us consider other restaurants and we took our business elsewhere.

Ok… so real quick, I love me some Panera HOWEVER I absolutely did not, did not, did not enjoy the white cheddar steak sandwich. It’s 100% my fault. I wanted to try something new (I generally love everything). But I also did not pay attention to what came between those ciabatta buns… HORSERADISH SAUCE!! Um… Eww!! Not for me. *whew* ok, now… as for my go-to (which has NEVER failed me in my 32yrs. I like to give a hoo-raah to my Bacon Turkey Bravo. Yes Lawd!! Plus I asked if they could throw a few slices of avocado in the assembly of that good ole’ sammich. (Yes, I said SAMMICH. Gotta put some “stank” on it. Carrying on… y’all, the liquid gold (not cheese) but AGAVE LEMONADE!!! *Heavenly Father I…take…this…moment* YES!! I love the freshness of everything at Panera. It’s like tasting the sun & licking the wind (in a delicious way). Mmmm… and don’t underestimate the pickle spear. Not soft and soggy but having the right crunch is everything. Yeah, they did that. I order a steak & wake sandwich and I got a sandwich with eggs only . I went to ask for a refund one of the employees giggled when I show them the sandwich like if it was funny …they offered to make me a new sandwich. Even though they fix the issues I just spend an hour of my time to get it resolved.

Panera usually makes wonderful bagels. You can get a bag and you’ll get the cream cheese. I’m not sure if they’re having trouble with making the aseago this morning or they changed the recipe. It wasn’t like a bagel. More like a bun. Maybe they’re over proofing them? It just tastes like an under seasoned bun.
