Seat yourself if you’re dining in. If you want something to go, use the counter service. The service was great and the food came out relatively quick. I liked my bbq baked potato. My child had a little cheeseburger. The waitress who took our order told us what the little cheeseburger came with and we took off what my child didn’t want. There is a lot more dining in the back past the restroom and little arcade area. There was a wait to check out. **There is a fee for using a credit card.

Dari Dip has been a part of my life forever pretty much forever. I was raised here in Lafayette, I can remember going to Dari dip after high school, and getting a cherry Sprite. And the best orange sherbet around!! Class of 88
I also took my daughter to the Dari dip when she was younger, this was back before they had a sit in restaurant. She’s 36 We loved it, such a hometown spot! And then one day we showed up, and the Dari dip had burned. I remember being so distraught I nearly cried! They Rebuilt a few years later, and it’s still the same Hometown spot!
I went in today and ordered food, the sweet girl upfront was patient with me, I changed my order.. She was so nice. I saw people in there that I’ve not seen in a long time❤️I recently moved back to Lafayette after 14 years ! That is Dari Dip!! Is there food the greatest? Probably not, However, it’s a good hometown place to eat , and it’s a good value ❤️.

Fish had zero flavor not even salt. Hush puppies were undercooked were doughy in the middle plus they tasted terrible and were cold and were inedible.Pinto beans were mediocre Fried okra was acceptable. Portions of side dishes was small like for a child. Paid 15$ for a meal and a tea and I’m still hungry with a bad taste in my mouth. Only thing I’ve had besides this was the country fried steak which was very good.

This place is super rad. The staff are very courteous and helpful. It’s a pretty standard southern restaurant. I had their Reuben and it was tasty, also the sweet tea here is a solid 10/10. I would totally eat here often if I lived in Lafayette.

One of the oldest family owned restaurants in LaFayette, Dari-Dip is like stepping back in time to your favorite local diner. The atmosphere is simple and nostalgic. Try the banana split while you’re there to make it a nice finishing touch. Menu attached with this review is as of November 2017.

I got the dressing with mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The serving sizes were fit for a child. The mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese were cold. The dressing had no flavor, that and the Mac n cheese were terrible. My husband who isn’t picky wouldn’t eat it. For the amount of food we got it was expensive. I literally left and went to Taco Bell.

Update, if I could give a zero I would. Fri evening 8/8 wife ordered cup vanilla soft serve with a little chocolate syrup. Was given a full chocolate sundae, smothered in chocolate syrup, whip cream, walnuts, cherry. We were parked near the door. Soft serve was melted by the time she got in the car. Runny half melted soft serve. Even worse, the person making the order putting whip cream on it, got whip cream on her hand and was licking it off while holding the cup! We’re done with Dari Dip. Reporting to health dept, this is rediculous.

Stopped by Sat evening for some soft serve. Some issues need correction. The server was very nice, however, she took our cash payment (handling money) then proceeded to handle food prep without hand washing first. Also noticed she apparently was eating in the food prep area, an open plate of partially eaten food plus a drink with no lid, next to soft serve machine. You may have a 96 rating, but still need to address this with employees.

Dari-Dip is the quintessential “Local Ice Cream Restaurant” and a staple in LaFayette, Georgia. Locally owned and operated since 1953 it is a homey and delightful piece of the town’s history. I lived in LaFayette when I was a little girl and had the fondest memories of going there with my grandparents to get a Double Dipped Cone during hot Georgia summers. It’s still the place to go for double dips along with a full menu of delicious items! The staff are friendly and make you feel at home instantly. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is so adorably quaint. If you’re ever nearby, it’s totally worth visiting! While you’re there, pick up one of their colourful t-shirts, I did!
