We drive from Alaska to Calif. twice a year and found this gem quite by chance.
What a treat meeting the whole Hentze family, especially Patrick and his family, they truly could not have been nicer. The food was amazing farm to table, do not skip dessert. The atmosphere will remind you of the leisurely sunny Sunday’s with family & friends of your childhood. Thank you for such a special day. I should mention that well behaved dogs are welcome.

We are lucky to come across this nice place. We visited there for a quick break, when driving back to Portland. We got great bratwurst hotdog & crispy fries, tasty blackberry lemonade and relaxing time. Very nice and friendly people are running this restaurant. We will definitely come back!

The Hentze Farm Cook Shack catered my wedding! And I attended a wedding at the farm and got to enjoy the food there as well. Patrick is passionate about his food to say the least. The way he spoke about food sold me and I didn’t even need to try it first. He came highly recommended from a friend and I was not disappointed. Hentze Farm went above and beyond for my new husband and I, all of our wedding guests and our Dj, shout out to Caught in the Act Kareoke loved! I mean just gushed over our food. Everyone was so impressed. Patrick truly is an amazing chef and incredible at the cocktails he comes up with. I love that they do as much as farm to table food as they possibly can and you can for sure taste the difference! I didn’t get a chance to snap pics of my dinner on my wedding day but definitely did at my friends wedding, as well as some photos of my rehearsal dinner at the Farm and the drink menu Patrick created, so you can see how beautiful it is. I’ll post that here as well, dont hesitate to try!

This lunch place is a gem! It’s a modern food shack on a family farm that rotates out its menu depending on what’s in season. My husband and I had the pulled pork sandwiches. The pork was marinated in their family-recipe smoked cherry BBQ sauce served with homemade slaw (made with local ingredients). Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Plus, we were entertained by Fred the Magnificent farm turkey who was so friendly and beautiful! Toward the end of our meal, the farmer came out with complimentary homemade strawberry-lemonade sorbet (made with their own strawberries!) for us! This made for a wonderful romantic Summer Saturday with my husband, enjoying the sunshine & shade at the table under the Willow tree. Plus, we were also surrounded by cherry trees! We can’t wait to go back!

Pulled pork sandwiches were so good we forgot to take pictures. The fresh blackberry lemonade is perfectly tart and sweet. The dining area (with picnic tables and other rustic/farm like seating) was shady and beautiful. Pete the peacock was not shy but did not bother us at all. Such a beautiful bird to look at while we laughed and ate. The service was wonderful and they gave us an extra lemonade on top of it all. This is a local gem and we’ll be back, with more people to enjoy it with.
