I thought I reviewed this place a few years back when I first visited, but I guess not- so here we go. Lavery is quality run brewpub, with some really tasty beers on tap that span the gap between many different styles and flavors. On my most recent trip with my wife, I got a six beer flight to sample, and was impressed by all the chosen offerings, especially the coconut-laden Divine Intervention and the uniquely refreshing lime and cucumber and sea salt sour.
The place itself is kind of on the darker side and is accented with a lot of wood and wood tones, which is just the rathskeller type of vibe that you want from a classic brewpub experience. There is also a nice patio area if you prefer a lighter experience during nice weather. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food (which we tried on the last outing there) is tasty and compliments the drinks well. Overall, it’s definitely a worthwhile stop if in the Erie area and looking for a nice beer in an enjoyable atmosphere.

This place is a hidden gem! The food was sooo good, and the vibe is unlike anywhere else….. fun, cozy, and full of character. Loved everything about it and will definitely be back for more!

My husband and I went with our dog and so we sat outside. It was a nice outdoor patio. You do need to have someone else to go inside to order and pay, so if you have a dog, make sure to come with a friend. The pizza was delicious and so were the quesobirria tacos. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu.

Love this small brewery. We had nachos and pretzels. Both were up to par. The beer was phenomenal. Normally I like 1 maybe 2 beers at a brewery. I liked 6 of the 7 (they were tasting size!). The beers are definitely the hit here. Max helped us tremendously with our beer selection. Super friendly. Super chill. Great crowd!

I had visiting a couple years ago and was underwhelmed with the food and service. Nothing terrible but only mediocre tacos at about $6 each. Friends picked Lavery for a recent lunch and I decided it was worth another visit. I am so glad I did. Food was 100% better and there were many more options on the menu. Our table had 2 different kinds of tacos, a falafel wrap and a pizza. All were outstanding. I hope this quality continues because I’ll be back.

The Cowboy From Hell Burger is a delightful monster. Appreciate a place with house chips. But the quesorizo tasted more like straight italian sausage and the parmesean on it is certainly a choice. I’d say my bad for making assumptions but that’s an ODD choice for a mexican dish. It’s like if someone threw walnuts into your pb&j.

One of my favorite places to eat in Erie! The staff is so kind and the food is delicious. I really appreciate the vegan options that are clearly marked on the menu, and I always look forward to their vegan special each week! Great beer, a few cocktail options with PA spirits; excellent food offerings with occasional specials. Recent renovations update the Irish pub vibe and offer expanded seating options. Bar staff are top notch and you can run into the owners and brewers sometimes. Sad to hear Devil’s Dark Side Pumpkin Stout not making an appearance this year
