Traveled more than 10,000 miles to come to this place (no joke: 30+ hours of flying DPS->SYD->LAX->PDX->MSP) and it was fully worth the trip. Their ice cream whispers sweet nothings of creaminess into my ears and is made from the best stuff on earth. Their flavors are crazy inventive – like “kitty kitty bang bang” with cherries and brownies and chocolate or “exhausted parent”with whiskey and caramel – you can’t buy these at any grocery store.
The staff are pretty swag.

This candy and ice cream shop is so Kool! It reminds me (kinda) of the candy store that was in the movie Willy Wonka. I got the chocolate covered raisins. They were so generous with the chocolate on them. And tasted delicious. I also tried the Cherry ice cream with real dark sweat cherries & it was delightful. The mixture of the cherries, cream was intense and Devine.

always a wonderful time. great ice cream and they have two for one cone nights. i live the jelly beans there, u can make your own bag of beans. homemade fudge and other chocolates r always fantastic. there is something there for everyone. They no longer do two for one cone night.

2024 update. Love the Chocolate Ox, it’s a feast for all the senses. Love seeing all the different candies and colors and just feeling the energy of the place, remembering candy from my past, marveling over the truffles and chocolate delights, and of course, making my way to the back to the ice cream, my entire reason for coming to Nisswa while on vacation. Five stars, every time.

Always a fun experience! Of course,everyone is there for the ice cream, but they also have an excellent selection of all sorts of candies and fudge, as well as some toys. Always busy, always fun. The back patio has some nice seating. Parking can be tricky on busy days.
