Food was ok, actually the pizza fired pizza was pretty darn tasty, they have some other bar food nuts, cheeses, grapes, etc. everyone was friendly, had live music on the piano, comfy, get lost in a corner booth kind of bar.
Might be a gay bar (not that makes any difference) but everyone there was pretty well dressed.

I was in town visiting family this weekend and they suggested Yaquis before we went to a show Sunday night. I immediately loved it when we walked in and heard the live music. The bartender is so nice. We had the loaded hummus which was exceptional. I ordered 2 sidecar cocktails and they were delicious. We shared a large charcuterie pizza as well. I told my brother that I was struggling to think of a time when I had ever eaten a better pizza. It blew me away. I wanted to order another but we were pressed for time. I already told him that we will go there again the next time I come to visit.

Fantastic pizza served in a small dining area, with great tributes to Josephine Baker wall-art. A padded bench with pillows lines the windows for great views, and there’s sidewalk seating as well. Staff are fun and very friendly, and it draws great crowd. (I didn’t care much for the caprisi salad though.) Nonetheless, one of my favorite places on Cherokee to eat.

The people are generally very friendly, there are live musicians at time, the old fashioned drink is fabulous (with a funny story behind it). The co-owner, Joe is humorous and friendly and great at his work. When it’s busy, some service may be a little slow, but that should be expected at busy bars.

Stopped in tonight after an evening at Casa Loma. We were in the neighborhood after the show and needing a bite to eat. Stopped here for wood fired pizza and a drink. The drink menu was extensive and had a lot of options. I had the “mamarita” a tequila /Malbec cocktail and my husband had a Sazerac. The cocktails were fantastic. The pizza however was burned and had a lack of sauce. Very dry. Nonetheless we powered through.
The bartender was friendly enough.
When we left though we realized we were over charged and another patrons beer was on our tab. Definitely disappointed. We already were a bit concerned that we paid so much for an overdone pizza but to also pay for someone else’s drink- very disappointed.
I’d go for cocktails. Not for food.

We decided to give this place a try based on reviews of their wood fired pizza and stromboli and that they had a folk rock duo playing live music on a Friday night. The atmosphere was really cool, kind of your local hole in the wall tavern vibe. The place, though small, was busy. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and grumpy, but she checked on us often enough. I ordered the G&G as a stromboli, and it was amazing! It was baked perfectly. The crust was fantastic, and there were ample toppings. We waited over an hour for food, which was no big deal with the live music. Just remember, it’s a small place with a small kitchen. It takes a while, but good things come to those who wait. We’ll definitely be back!

Local pizza place and bar with live music. Pizza is excellent and lots of beer choices on tap. Somewhat small so seating is limited. Not located in the best part of town.

I love Yaquis! It’s a chill place to grab a beer and listen to great live the music! Their pizza is delicious but I also really like the garlic cheese bread! The neighborhood feel of this place is cozy and inviting.

This place and the people who own it are horrible. I gave a homeless guy a couple bucks outside that looked like he was really in need. They kicked me out of the bar and told me never to come back. That’s what kind of people these are!
