We travel for work weekly, almost always go to Texas Roadhouse for drinks & dinner after a long day on the road. After 3 drinks we were ready to order when I happened to see something out of the corner of my eye. Yep a cockroach on the bar mat. I snapped this quick photo to discreetly get the barmaid attention. As I was showing her, and she caputuring it, another cockroach to the left of us was crawling up the napkin box. At this point others are the bar noticed. The barmaid never flinched, never apologized, never offered comps, nothing, just walked away. We asked for our bill, paid and started to leave. At the door a manager stopped us and offered a $5 gift card, we had $100 in drinks and were there a few hours. I expressed we never complain, or ask for anything. The way it was handled was unprofessional, rude and seemed to be common. We told our Uber about the incident, she said yes that is normal for that location, its infested and should be closed down.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention this was at 730pm, prime dinner time.

Texas roadhouse is always good. It can be a little loud in there so don’t try to have a intimate conversation cuz u cant talk quietly. But my food is always tasty and service is usually fast. The waitresses are always sweet too.

Very poor service and not satisfied with dinner meal. I got a BBQ grilled chicken and a loaded sweet potato and mac n cheese. Never received my mac n cheese and never got a refill. All the food was dry and not cooked well. The manager would not compensate the meal but would take off the side of mac n cheese when the whole order was messed up. The sweet potato was dry and wasn’t fully loaded. The service is very bad at night. Never coming here again and my wife food was missing items on her steak and potato. She was supposed to get a fully loaded bake potato but didn’t get topping and missing onion and mushrooms on steak. I would not recommend coming to chesapeake texas roadhouse with bad service and poor management. There was spill on the ground were we were seated and they put wash cloths on ground and nobody clean up the spill on the ground. Someone could have slipped and fell. Overall poor management and service.

Steak was seasoned more than I thought it would be, it was still very good. Salad was very good as I really like chopped egg in my salad. Our waitress was awesome, especially considering how busy it was as it was Valentines day.
The one complaint was the cleanliness, I don’t think the floor had been cleaned for hours and was beyond dirty.

I am an avid Texas Roadhouse lover, my favorite restaurant in the world. However, today, after an incredibly long day at work I really wanted steak and got the 14oz ribeye with a Caesar and mashed potatoes. The sides were great, however, the steak (which I requested medium rare) looked like it was left inside of an active volcano it was so overcooked. I’m just a bit annoyed, I was very tired and hungry and the steak (which cost almost $30) was just not good. Photo for reference.

My husband and I had an impromptu Monday night date here this evening, and we loved it! Our server was amazing, juggling many tables at once flawlessly. The steak was cooked perfectly, and our sides were great as well. All the staff members we encountered were upbeat and happy. We really enjoyed our dining experience!

My parents had a very disappointing experience at this Texas Roadhouse on Friday, 2/20/26, at 5:45pm.
It didn’t seem to be a busy night when they arrived. They checked in at the hostess stand and were told the wait would be short, so they sat on the bench. After about 20 minutes, they still had not been seated, even though several parties who arrived after them were seated first.
Another couple checked in after my parents and waited beside them. They were a Black couple, and they also watched as more guests were called ahead of both parties.
My parents are a senior Asian couple. After seeing multiple later arrivals seated before them, my father tried to speak with the hostess to get an understanding of their place in the queue. She simply said “it happens”. The manager later claimed they had been placed “on hold” due to rotation, but could not clearly explain why that happened to my parents and not to the many parties seated after them.
The other waiting couple was eventually called before my parents and kindly spoke up, saying my parents should be seated first. My parents declined and insisted they go ahead. By the time my parents’ name was called, they no longer felt comfortable staying and chose to leave.
Corporate did reach out afterward via email with an apology and a $15 coupon. While we appreciate the response, it did not address how or why this occurred or what steps are being taken to prevent it in the future.
No one should feel ignored, dismissed, or discriminated against when dining out. We expected better.

Disappointed and disgusted even begin to describe the feelings I have towards my dinner tonight. We order frequently from this location always doing curbside, the boy who brings out the food always does such an excellent job. My experience started off normal, got the same food and everything so excited after my 12 hour shift to sit down and get to enjoy my delicious dinner. I start with my salad, normally delicious, as I am enjoying my long awaited dinner, A BABY ROACH starts ascending up a leaf of my romaine lettuce. I don’t even know how to go about this. I am no longer eating my food and that’s my shifts money spent and wasted. I’m so disappointed I haven’t stopped crying in disgust.

The service was great. We started with the Combo Appetizer with mild Buffalo Wings, Fried Pickles and Tater Skins. The Fried Pickles were a bit soggy with a decent flavor. The wings and skins were great. My son had the Country Fried Chicken with fries and corn. The chicken was tender and delicious. I had the Country Fried Sirloin with mashed taters and snaps (green beans). The sirloin was flavorful but a bit gristly and the coating fell right off. The taters were tasty but the green beans were Fabulous! I’m a southern girl and they were some of the best snaps (green beans) I’ve ever had.
