They brought us a complimentary honey butter croissant which was light and tasty. I ordered the chicken pot pie with a side of baby carrots. It had a lot of white meat chicken along with peas and carrots in a nicely browned crust. While it was hearty, it lacked flavor. They ought to swap some of the chicken for potatoes. I likely wouldn’t order it again. Hubby had the salmon and shrimp over rice with coleslaw and broccoli casserole. He said it was all very good. He had the chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. It was a huge portion. It was very good albeit extremely chocolaty. Our server was great. Food arrived quickly. We’ll go again.

Cheddar’s in Lutz was just okay. The restaurant itself is nice inside and pretty comfortable, but the overall experience felt a bit hit or miss. The food portions were generous, but the flavors were pretty average — nothing that stood out as great or memorable. Service was polite, but kind of slow, especially considering it wasn’t super busy when we went.

Prices were reasonable, which is a plus, but I felt like the quality didn’t quite match the hype. It wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t someplace I’d go out of my way for. If you’re nearby and want a casual meal, it’ll do the job, but don’t expect anything special.

I went here for my first meal when I moved to Florida and it was pretty interesting, I ordered the chicken tenders, with ribs with corn, and mashed potatoes. The service was a little 50/50 we (me and my family) sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice. He did take a while to serve me my drink though. After we all had ours drinks it took a pretty long while to get our food but for me, it was worth the wait. The chicken tenders were very juicy and the ribs were smokey and sweet. (Though they weren’t “fall off the bone”) The corn was pretty average and personally was too sweet, but the mashed potatoes were amazing. My mom said that her food was good and my grandma also liked it, my sister ordered the kids Alfredo pasta and it didn’t have enough sauce for some reason. And the atmosphere was pretty much your usual restaurant after 5pm

Took the family for lunch at Cheddars. It was our first time going and it did not disappoint.
No waiting for lunch, so that was a plus. Nice restaurant decor, modernly old, but in a good way. The booths had higher walls so it seemed more intimate and not so on top of people.
Our service was phenomenal. Shellece was an amazing server. She seemed like a genuinely nice person, who cared that we were there. She was there when we needed her and knew just when to pass. Shellece was the type of employee everyone wants to represent their company.
The food was quite delicious. They bring you 4 cressent rolls with a special drizzle. Oh my my, those are worth the trip by themselves. Light and airy, almost donut-like. If you try the drizzle, expecting it to be a icing taste, you would be sadly mistaken. Its a cinnamon butter delight. One kiddo got a kids chicken tenders & a salad, the other kiddo got the kids penne pasta Alfredo with broccoli cheese casserole. Parents split the Cheddars Trio Sampler. The chicken tenders were delicious. Very juice with a crunchy flakey breading. The spinach dip was yummy. Even the kiddos dove into that. And the queso dip w/meat added, was one of the better quesos we’ve had in a while. The kidos both enjoyed their meals. Except for the broccoli cheese casserole, that was rice cheese and broccoli. I don’t think it was what she expected, as she said she did not like it, but she eats those items regularly.
Overall, our first trip was a good one. We will be back to try more food and see its its as delicious as the sample. Lol. Give them a shot! Hopefully you get Shellece as a server!

This is our send time visiting this restaurant. The first time was so good. Best steak from a restaurant I have had.We decided to go back. I ordered bake loaded potato and when I received my meal it was cold. Sent it right back and told the waitress to bring me fries. Took at least 15 minutes to get my fries and by that time rest of my food was cold and my husband was done his meal. Didn’t seem to bother the waitress. She just kinda laughed. We couldn’t even enjoy our meal together. I was so mad made a point talk to the mgr. who was awesome and decided to make it right with a gift card. I would definitely go back cause I do like the food. Not going to let this one time discourage me. I would ask for a different waitress. On top of that she was helping me pay the bill on the little machine at table . I said no tip as we leave tip separate but she pushed button and got a 8.50 tip she didn’t deserve

This picture was taken in 2015 in Brandon, FL

Unfortunately I went today at this Cheddar’s close to the intersection of I75 and US 56 and I was extremely disappointed. The menu picture looks like what I got in 2015, but the cake they brought was half the size, a small piece barely 4 inches long. The manager, which I called, claimed that it was their 3 layer cake, to which I pointed out their layers were barely 3/4 of an inch thick while the current menu pictures and the one I got years ago were more like 1.5 inch thick. Anyway, I told him I didn’t want that pitiful of an excuse of a cake and to take it back.

Now I’m not even tempted to ever go back to Cheddar’s, and that wonderful memory of that cake I had in 2015 has been ruined by today’s imitation of a cake. (And the ribs were terrible too).

I only hope that this is a Cheddar’s that has strayed from the corporate guidelines in order to make profits and I could find other Cheddar’s which respect the menu pictures if I ever decide to look for one. Right now I’m totally unimpressed.

I regret forgetting to take a picture of what cake they brought but just imagine the piece I got in 2015, or their menu piece, cut in half. That’s what they thought they could get away with. At first I was going to take it anyway but when he started arguing that it was “their 3 layers” cake that’s was too much and I knew it was unacceptable to agree to keep that piece of cake.

The food was horrible but the service was great. My boyfriend and I ordered the trio appetizer to share after seeing how cheap it was but we quickly found out why. The queso simply tasted cheap and I didn’t like it. The spinach and artichoke dip weirdly had sour cream in the middle and it gave the whole thing a weird taste. The chicken tenders I enjoyed, but my boyfriend didn’t like at all and complained there was way too much breading.
For our entrees I got the New Orleans pasta which was very underwhelming. It did have a lot of meat which was nice but it simply wasn’t very flavorful. My boyfriend got the shrimp Alfredo pasta and he didn’t like it. Our main complaint with the pastas is that the sauce was very soupy and liquidy, not thick and creamy like I would’ve liked.
For dessert we got the cookie skillet which was pretty average but enjoyable.
Honestly my favorite part out of all the food was the croissant they served in the beginning which had this amazing glaze on it and was so soft. Wasn’t sure if I could get more for free but I feel like you can.
Our service was also really good. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Our food came out really quickly.
I won’t be returning because even though they’re not expensive the quality of food is not good.

I just wanna say this is my third time eating at this restaurant . I had the pleasure of having Tyler as my server and she was nothing short of amazing. She was very attentive, professional and continuously checked in on our table to see if we needed anything. We didn’t really know what to order and she suggested a couple of items and they were great. I will definitely be coming back specifically just to sit at Tyler’s table. I’ve ate at many establishments and Tyler by far is one of the best servers I’ve encountered.

This was hands-down one of the worst Cheddar’s experiences I’ve ever had.
I ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp platter. The chicken tenders looked like the bottom-of-the-bag scraps—tiny, shriveled pieces that honestly looked like leftovers no one would want. Worst chicken tenders I’ve ever seen. The shrimp were about the size of my pinky, which is ridiculous for a shrimp platter.
My wife ordered the pot pie and it was even worse—burnt, missing filling, and easily one of the worst pot pies she’s ever had.
The wait time for food was absurdly long, which only made it more frustrating when the food finally came out in that condition. They did offer to fix it, but after waiting that long, the damage was already done.
The only positive was our waitress—she was very helpful, polite, and did her best in a bad situation. No complaints about the service.
For comparison, we’ve eaten at the Cheddar’s in Lakeland (Checkers location) and had a great experience. Night and day difference. Unfortunately, the Wesley Chapel location is a zero. We won’t be back.

I called ahead for a party of 8, just in case. We all got there and were seated right away. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly. Nice clean place. They really give you a lot of food for the money. It was all delicious and hot. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
