We stopped in for a snack and some drinks after driving all day and it was poppin’! Seems to be the older folks hangout spot and we loved it. It was pretty loud for such a quaint restaurant but the food was good and the drinks were good. We ordered the fried pickles, the southwest spring rolls, and the calamari. We loved the pickles and the rolls but weren’t too impressed with the calamari. The batter wasn’t very seasoned and still raw in some parts. It’s a cute little spot!

We came into town friday night and decided to eat here. The bar is very cozy and decorated very well for its theme and its origin story! We got the fried pickles and the southwest egg rolls and the calamari and a couple of drinks. The only downfall we didnt care for is how loud it was in the bar. The calamari batter was a bit bland and some were undercooked. But other than that we enjoyed out drinks and the food. I wouldnt mind coming back in the summer when we can sit outside and not have to yell to each other to converse

It’s always a great time at Snap Dragon, especially with Armondo. He creates a family like environment with great food and drinks. Definitely a Burnsville hidden gem.

First time visiting – it was chilly outside, but they had heaters that made it nice. Loved the picnic tables in the back with the cafe lights – so cozy. This is a seat yourself place but I just suggest getting there before the rush and it’s probably fine. I love the vibe here and how it’s surrounded by trees and greenery, cozy and unique. The food is AMAZING. We had a variety – calamari, perfectly seasoned w/ great sauces, the cuban sandwich looked so good, my MIL enjoyed it, fries are THE BEST, husband enjoyed his burger even said it was better than mine haha and the mahi tacos were very good and I’m picky. It’s the little things for me like a carafe of chilled water on the table so you don’t have to ask for it. The food is unexpectedly above average for an outdoor restaurant bar in little Burnsville. We are an hour away but I would absolutely visit just so we can eat here.
My slight complaint would be to hire a little more staff maybe? Just a tad bit slow on the service, very friendly though, no complaints there but we ordered our app and it was another 20 mins before she took our dinner order, then another 30+ for the food, so just don’t be in a hurry. The environment and food are worth it though

We stopped by for a drink and enjoyed every minute of our time here. There are tons of seating options, beer selection, and liquor to choose from. They even have cider on tap too. I highly recommend you stop by when you’re in town a need some relaxing downtime.

Great ambiance, outdoor dining was a must, and food was delicious. I ordered the blue ridge burger with a cherry cider and it paired so nicely. My friend ordered 12 wings and loved them. Fried pickles were great. Staff was lovely. Would happily come back! Dog friendly as well.

Overall this spot surpassed our expectations. You must try the hot dogs they were exceptional and inexpensive. The Spring rolls were the only items that failed please one in our party. All other items we ordered were very good. Sarah our server was on point but they got busy and short handed in the end and we had to seek out our check. Ambiance is cool and looks like a happening place on the weekend. We will definitely go back.

Cute little place downtown Burnsville. We chose to enjoy the outdoor dining area. The food was good. However, the service destroyed the dining experience. We were initially forgotten for a pretty good while, but because it was July 4th weekend, I had no problem overlooking that. I brushed it off and said no problem, I understand. Unfortunately, though, rather than any attempts at redeeming himself by making sure the rest of our dining experience was pleasant, I guess he wrote us off. I had asked for condiments for my sandwich, and after waiting a ridiculous amount of time, I finally went inside to hunt them down myself since, at this point, my food was cold. Never once did he come out to check on our beverages. My guest sat with an empty cup throughout our entire dinner when I finally flagged down a different server for a refill. We then waited ages for our check so we could leave. When we finally did get it, I promptly put my credit card out to be retrieved. We waited, and waited, and waited and waited…. so once again, I went inside to handle it myself. He sees me, knowing that I had to come in after an extremely long wait for him, yet he continues to mess with glasses and busy work rather than cashing me out. Finally, another staff member let’s me pay my bill. I could have understood if this was a huge place with a tremendous number of customers, but it’s not, and there were multiple waiting staff there. I’ve worked in this industry in places FAR larger and more slammed than this. There was no excuse for such poor service. I think once he realized that he screwed up at the very beginning of the dining experience, he wasn’t going to get a good tip, so he wrote us off. But nothing could have been further from the truth at that point. Like I said, I worked in the industry back in my earlier years and know what it’s like, so I tip well under reasonable circumstances and would have him if he had attempted even the slightest bit. But he completely deserted us. Very disappointing experience because the place is charming and the food was good. Maybe I’ll return and give them another try someday…. but pray for a better server!

I tried to order the dragon spring rolls, but at 6 pm they had none. Instead I ordered the southwest spring rolls. The southwest spring rolls are not spring rolls at all. The best description I have for them is a hot pocket in the shape of an eggroll. No resemblance to a spring roll in any way. Not the texture , not the taste, and not the filling. My first bite was a shocking disappointment. I am not a picky eater, but after one more bite I was done. I ended up sharing my wife’s fish tacos with her. The waitress came out to ask how our food was and I politely told her truthfully. She got a funny look on her face like she couldn’t process the fact that everything wasn’t satisfactory and did not make any effort or suggestion for a resolution. My wife’s fish tacos were just average, the fish seemed a little dry, but they were acceptable for the price. The fries were very good, the drinks were good, and otherwise the service was good. All I can say is, don’t ask how the food is if you don’t know how to deal with a truthful answer.

I find any excuse possible to eat here when I’m in Burnsville. The drinks, menu, and the walls/ whole place is superior to any place around here. Service is really good or really slow depending on how many people they have working, that’s it’s only fault I can come up with. Cool history of the name, also.
I’m definitely trying the Category 5 next time, and I hope it’s like the Lt. Dan vs the ocean hurricane scene.
