We hosted a baby shower for our son. Then screened off half the restaurant for our event (we had 60) people. They had the room all arranged exactly as I had requested it. I like in Texas and flew in to host this event. They zoomed with me in advance to show me the space they were giving me. Also met on the call the Chef and planned out the menu. Super easy to work with!Kay was all over the planning and organization. Chad put together a fantastic meal plan. He did three completely different meals with their own sides etc. Jambalaya with cabbage and Jalapeño cheddar hush puppies (literally the best I’ve ever had). The food was really great. Well received. They put out take home boxes for everyone for left overs which was appreciated. I basically can’t say enough good things about the restaurant. Definitely worth stopping for a meal – especially on a Friday or Saturday night when the Chef adds specials to the menu.

All of the locals recommended this place, so we had to check it out. Now, I can see why. Four of us went here for dinner last night. Two of us ordered the all you can eat shrimp platter, I got the Fried Oysters platter and our landlubber friend had Fettuccine Alfredo. We all enjoyed our dishes. Cooked to perfection. Oh, on the all you can eat shrimp platter, the ladies did not order a second round.
Service was fast and the food was fresh. Our server Roe made sure all of our needs were taken care of.
In short we enjoyed our meal.
My one complaint or suggestion would be to consider some noise abatements measures. It was so loud that we had to shout to hear each other. It was really crazy loud.

The scallops, mussels, shrimp, ahi Tuna, dungeness crab and catch of the day all were delicious and cooked perfectly. If I had to pick a favorite I’d say the dungeness crab! Alex, the bartender is attentive, friendly and exudes southern hospitality. And the sunset views were spectacular!! We loved it so much went back the next night.

When I travel for work I usually try to find smaller local places that I can’t get at home. I drove to Georgia just to have dinner here, and it was 100% worth the drive from Florida while I was there for work. I had the filet mignon with scallops, hush puppies, and the local slaw, and everything was fantastic. The scallops were blackened just as I wanted them, and they were extra plump and juicy. The medium rare steak was perfect and had a very distinct but very good taste to it that I’ve not had anywhere else. The local slaw had a very fresh taste and the hush puppies were some of the best I’ve had and sweet butter sauce that came with it, not sure what it was, but it was game changing for hush puppies from now on! After eating I walked along the dock and got some early beautiful pictures, it was dark, but the lighting in the atmosphere is perfect.

We had the seared Tuna Ahi and the Cajun Bayou Tacos (shrimp). Both were excellent. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. The tacos needed a taco stand to prevent the shells from getting run off on outside of the shells. We saw other orders going out and they all look wonderful.

Some of the best Shrimp and seafood around! I love their shrimp (on Wednesdays it’s all you can eat) and my husband loves their a trigger fish. We frequent the place often because it’s well worth it! We recommend it to all our friends and family and they love it too.

The food was fresh, delicious and great portions. Our server really did go above and beyond for us.
I got the blood orange margaritas (2). My partner got beer (2). Our server even offered her an ice bucket to keep it cold. We shared the seared ahi tuna appetizer. It was cooked perfectly.
For lunch I got the pick 2 seafood platter. I got the fried fish and grilled scallops with macaroni and cheese and asparagus. The scallops were nice and big sea scallops. There were 5 of them I believe. The fish was a nice filet. It was more than enough food. The mac and cheese was perfect. The asparagus was cooked just right. My partner got the crab cake sandwich with a salad. She really enjoyed all of it.
We were able to snag a table outside. It was a beautiful day to enjoy our lunch looking out at the river.
I was really surprised and impressed with our whole visit. I hope that this stays consistent. It’s nice to have an excellent seafood restaurant to visit when we’re in town. I know there are other seafood restaurants but the quality, cleanliness, and service of this place was top notch. Can’t wait to visit again.

Locals Dockside is great restaurant if would like fresh seafood. Stopped by on a Wednesday and enjoyed the All-You-Can-Eat shrimp dinner. The triggerfish and scallops dinner was equally delicious. Scallops were very big, i thought they were hushpuppies. Service was outstanding.

This was our end-of-trip splurge. I chose The Locals on the basis of their menu and was not disappointed. The scallops and asparagus were cooked to perfection. The coleslaw was fresh, with just a bit of kale, the best I have ever had. The Trigger fish was delicious, and I couldn’t stop eating the parmesan fries. I was not as impressed with the “lump crab” cake.
Our server, Roe, (not Debbie!) was efficient and friendly and stopped to talk while we waited for our meal.
The booths could benefit from new cushions, but that will not stop us from coming back when next we are in the St. Mary’s area.
