After a few years in the area, this is the first Mexican spot that genuinely felt authentic to me. The music, the energy, the natural rhythm of Spanish being spoken around the restaurant, it all created an atmosphere that felt vibrant, familiar, welcoming, and real. You can tell this place isn’t trying to imitate anything, it just is. And the food absolutely delivers.

Excellent service, welcoming environment, and above all else, DELICIOUS food! The thing I am going to talk about a lot here, is their guacamole, because it is literally the best I have ever had in my life. And I had a ton of it while I was there. And while all of their other dishes are amazing (seriously delicious) their guacamole overshadowed everything else.
The lamb is so tender it literally falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. The shrimp is flavorful and adds punch to the steak with rice and beans. The nachos – what can I say other than, holy cow their nachos are delicious. But their guacamole? I want more while I’m writing this review.
But in all seriousness though, the thing that leaves you coming back for more (as fantastic as their food is), is their kind service and attentive staff. Loved the owners, loved our waitress – loved everyone there!
It’s like stepping into a household in Mexico and getting the full treatment as their guest. Generous and happy staff, with the best sit-down Mexican food you will have at very fare prices is waiting for you here! Don’t miss the opportunity to come here the next time you’re in the ‘Couve!

As far as the food goes, and the Micheladas, both were authentic and delicious! Just what we were looking for. I initially wanted pork tamales, but they were out, so we went with the birria, it did not disappoint! They also have a nice salsa bar as well. It’s just a small cafe atmosphere, and it was hot that day, so a little stuffy in there, but, we would go back!!

The best hidden gem I’ve found in a long time. Had what could possibly be the best chorizo breakfast burrito I’ve ever had, along with a very delicious michelada. Also couldn’t resist getting a quesabirria, which was just amazing cheesy goodness. Mad I’ve never been there before, but you can guarantee I’ll be coming back for sure.

Five star service, 4 star tacos.
The portions are huge with a ton of meat. The tortillas are okay and the meat, especially the carnitas, was really good.
The salsa bar was a bit depleted but the salsas were good.
The prices are a bit high for tacos but the overall experience was good.

We ordered a whole chicken and two drinks that was over $50. Portions were generous but didn’t like the seasoning and chicken was some dry.
Also the lady at the register was not friendly, I told her it was our first time there and was hurrying us up, Rude! She could’ve suggested food, They had open like 30 minutes and there was like 4 people in the restaurant.
Will not be returning and Will not be recommending this restaurant.
