While visiting relatives we stopped at Papa Chris a few times. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food they offered. The pizza puff had the same taste I remember as a kid. The hot dog and fries combo is a great deal compared to the few places we have at home in Florida. We definitely will be back once next time we’re in the area!

Best new York cut steak sandwich in town, you get raw onions or grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and option mayonnaise. If you want, you can get some barbecue sauce on the side. You can also get french fries and a drink for about under $20, and it’s worth it. Thank you, Nick, for your hospitality, I would recommend other people

Stopped by here on a whim. Once I saw the menu, I knew I was in the right spot !!! Heavy with old school Chicago favorites, this menu is insane !!! We had a pizza puff and a chili cheese dog with fries… super tasty. Staff was super friendly & just all-around nice. Don’t forget to grab some oversized Swedish fish and Sour Patch kids on the way out. Will definitely return !!!

This place was amazing! First off I was greeted right when I walked in the door. The guy who greeted me was tall and so freaking cool. I don’t know his name. He asked me what I liked I didn’t know what to get so I had him surprise me he ordered me the Gyro with french fries it was stuffed with meat it was so freaking good the hot dogs. I highly recommend this place! The prices are really good and you get a lot of food for the money.

Papa Chris’ has been at this location over for 35 years and we know why! The food is sensational. I got the gyro plate and my aunt got the gyro sandwich. The portions were generous and tasty. I had enough food to bring back home for another meal. The decor inside makes us feel like an old school Chicago place. Right off of Touhy Avenue, this is an easy location to go to. We will definitely be back soon. The staff and owners are great!

Great family restaurant! Food is fast, fresh, and yummy! Good portions for the price. Friendly staff and clean establishment. Came by last week and had the special ( chicken parm) it was outstanding! Have never had a sub par meal here. We make a point to stop here on our way to Costco. My husband loves their gyros, my mother in law the patty melt. If your in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped by Papa Chris’ looking for a quick, late lunch and everything I had really hit the spot! I ordered their hamburger (everything on it) with fries, and it was really good and a great value! Tasty hamburger with lots of toppings and their fries are thick, crinkle fries, perfectly cooked. If you’re in their stretch of Touhy, I definitely recommend stopping in for some good food!

Papa Chris is across from the Leaning Tower of Niles if you know where that is. It’s a typical older family-owned joint. My kinda place. The folks were friendly and the prices were great.
My gyro was filled with really tasty meat but the tzatziki sauce didn’t quite do it for me. A little bland, maybe. More cucumber, less yogurt. Something.
Anyway, everything else was great. Thumbs up.
