This is the cafè and grounds, at the Noosa Yoghurt creamery.
I had a delicious, and quite, Sunday brunch here. Ordered a tropical smoothie (pineapple, mango, star fruit and guava) along with a Daisy’s Veggie Delight sandwich (hummus, spinach, red onion, tomato, banana peppers, fresh basil leaves on toasted rye bread).
Then, went and sat near their fountain to eat in the brisk 40° morning air. Afterward, I took a stroll around their lake area, it was absolutely serene.
Thank you for the wonderful experience Noosa.
The food that they have here, sandwiches, coffees, fresh I ce cream, yogurt, lattes, bagels, of course, the little knickknacks that you can buy as a souvenir’s!
Stop, and take a bit of a detour and you will be very happy that you did!
They have a menu of coffees, pastries, sandwiches, milkshakes, and ice cream. Also, fridges with lots of farm fresh milk, Noosa yogurt, cakes, cream cheese & more.
There’s a nice sitting section and they offer tours of the dairy facility for $6/person on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sundays 4 times a day (reserve online).
They have flights of milk and milkshakes which was so fun. They also offer special milk flavors such as caramel and root beer.
At the cafe, my husband got a coffee & chocolate milkshake and a chocolate croissant (he loved both). I got a toasted Parmesan bagel with cream cheese, cookies n cream milkshake (amazing!!!) and a jug of chocolate milk to go. Everything was delicious!
The Howling Cow Café is truly a hidden gem just outside of town! While their gluten-free and dairy-free options aren’t extensive, what they do offer is absolutely delicious. I appreciate that they make the effort to accommodate different dietary needs—and they do it well!
What really sets this place apart is the setting. If you’re not a fan of the smell of cows, no worries—they have an amazing indoor seating area that’s cozy and clean. But the real magic is outside. The outdoor space feels like a secret oasis, with plenty of seating options scattered across the beautifully landscaped grounds. There’s a stunning waterfall, a bustling pond where I’ve seen fish, ducks, and even a beaver thriving in the stream! Add in a charming bridge, lots of open space for kids to run, and even dog waste bins for those visiting with pups—it’s seriously the perfect blend of comfort and nature.
They also have a disc golf course and other amenities that make this more than just a coffee stop—it’s a full experience. If you plan ahead, you can even book a tour of the working dairy farm (heads up: it’s not fully accessible for wheelchairs or walkers, but much of the property is very handicap-friendly).
And fun fact: the milk from this dairy goes to Noosa! So next time you enjoy their yogurt, you’ll know where it came from.
This place is peaceful, welcoming, and so worth the visit. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make time for the Howling Cow—you won’t regret it!
