Deuce’s Taste of the South is a BBQ Food Trailer specializing in slow smoked brisket, pulled pork, and turkey breast. We serve a variety of breakfast taco’s for breakfast and sandwiches / wraps for lunch Tuesday – Friday. On Sunday’s we have plate lunches available from 10:30 am – 02:00 pm.

I stopped the first time on the Saturday before Easter and I just left after not seeing anyone and the lane being closed. Later I found out they were closed that day for only catering order pickups. So this past weekend I stopped once again. I’m definitely a BBQ enthusiast and that smoke smell just draws you in! I grabbed two egg and potato tacos on my way to work with their salsa and BBQ sauce to try. Maaaaaaaaannn! That says enough, and I will be back to try more breakfast and lunch items from the menu! The service was great and super quick.

I really had high hopes from the reviews but I’m confused as to why. My coworker and I called in a to go and went picked it up. When we arrived at the designated time the food wasn’t ready. They were very polite though. When we got back to the office I was very disappointed at the food I received for $19. A small portion of brisket which looked like leftover chop (wasn’t even asked or given the option if I want it sliced lean or fatty like most bbq places I’ve been) and was dry, fatty and the bark was so tough it was like jerky. The sides were delicious but the meat was a let down. Sadly we won’t be back. Do yourself a favor and go to Blanchards BBQ in Lafayette the Q is always top shelf, and the portions are generous.

We picked up brisket and smoked turkey from Deuces today, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The brisket is hands-down the best I’ve ever had, perfectly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The smoked turkey was just as impressive, moist and seasoned to perfection.
On top of the outstanding food, the owner and his wife were incredibly polite and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s rare to find both top-quality barbecue and such genuine hospitality in one place.
I highly recommend Deuces to anyone looking for the best barbecue around, you won’t be disappointed!

Finally got a chance to visit since it isn’t as convenient to where I live however they did a Friday night pop up with live music, so I got my chance. There was outdoor seating available or you could just pick up and go. My friend and I tried the smoked wings, brisket Philly, and the pastalaya!!! They did not disappoint!

Picked up breakfast this morning at Deuces Taste of the South. We got a mix of all the breakfast burritos that he sales. I personally tried the breakfast sausage burrito. The first thing I can tell you is that these burritos are over stuffed. The second thing I can tell you is that the sausage was homemade. It was very good. You also get free home made salsa with it. This salsa is so fresh and you can tell it was homemade made and fresh.

Been passing by the place for a while just tried it absolutely wonderful and the folks working were super kind towards me and my dog 10 out of 10 brisket 10 out of 10 sides some of the best barbecue I’ve had in Lafayette will be going again and would recommend others to try too

Taste of the food was excellent! Brisket was tender and had the smoky taste wings were well seasoned. Brisket balls were tasty as well.
My complaint was there were no prices posted nor a selct portion size. Not sure how much I was charged for the wings, the Brisket balls, nor nor the Brisket but spent close to $70.

Deuce’s is my favorite BBQ spot in Acadiana. There are several good ones, but Deuce’s stands out with their consistency, their customer service, and their level of “give a damn” to ensuring everyone has a great experience. I’ve had all of the BBQ I know of in the area so when I say it’s my favorite, I mean it. Stop by and give them a try Tuesday-Friday 7-2 and Saturday 8-1! You won’t be disappointed.
