Tried Chinese Tropical Restaurant for a to go order. Service was slow and the interaction felt a little awkward.
The guy took part of our order, disappeared for a few minutes, then came back to finish. He did not write anything down and gave us a generic receipt that did not list what we ordered, which was a bit concerning.
We waited about 40 minutes for the food. Definitely a hole in the wall type experience.
That said, once we finally got the food, everything was there and it was good. No missing items, no mistakes. The food quality saved the visit.
Overall, I would rate it a solid 3 out of 5. Not great service, but decent food. If you go in knowing what to expect, you will probably be fine.

I ordered the Mandarin chicken, potstickers, moo goo gai pan, and the steak “burrito.”
All were decent, but definitely lacked seasoning. The steak burrito wasn’t a burrito at all, it was some kind of sandwich. Which is fine but it should have been labeled correctly. I did like their large quantities.

Just left here at 2 and it’s 2:35am. I ordered a wing plate with pork fried rice. General Tso plate with beef fried rice. It was $28 and some change which is more than I was trying to spend but when I tell you this place doesn’t owe me a thing. Nothing Nathanial! Everything was cooked to order and fried to perfection. They don’t speak English in there they know what’s on the menu the prices and how to cook for sure. Food definitely worth the price with enormous portions.

I’m leaving a one star review because they lack customer service and problem solving skills. I placed an order through their website and when my boyfriend went to pick it up by the expected time it wasn’t ready. The staff decided to cook all the orders placed within the restaurant and left ours for last. Food was expected to be ready for pick up at 9:52 pm and he is finally on his way back home

I’m at a loss for words this is probably the worst food I’ve ever had. Ordered delivery Because Uber Eats said they had good reviews. It’s horrible. I ordered curry chicken and pork with garlic sauce. It’s literally no excuse for this it’s really unexplainable I’m just laughing

The service was very daunting. I ordered my food at 7:31 pm and was told it would be ready approximately within 10 minutes. Another customer order was placed right after mine, around 7:35 pm. Within 10 minutes, the other customers’ order was ready to go and he had a big order. I was still waiting until 8:01 pm then asked about my order yet to find it had been sitting on a stand for 20 minutes, which was approximately at the time customer who ordered after me. I was not informed of my ready to go order. I was the only black person in the restaurant; however, there were all Mexican customers there including the one who waited on me. I will never go back to support that business; they don’t deserve my customer-ship.

The food is not good, I ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was over fried, and the nuggets were hard as rocks. Now I will have to find a good Chinese restaurant because this one is not good.

Food looked good to the eyes. Real good but once I put that rice in my mouth spit it out immediately. The rice tasted funky and had a very very very nasty taste to it something I never taste before. Not sure if it was spoiled or not but it’s full of funk u can’t even eat one spoonful. Chicken LOOKED good too yet it was nasty and left a bad aftertaste wasted 20 bucks on door dash thank god door dash gave me my money back. I’m so sick of spending my money for food only to be let down ! if u want to continue to make money and grow your business actually CARE about what you’re serving people. Never again wish them the best

If you’re expecting fried wonton, don’t order fried wonton. Instead of pan fried little pockets filled with something, they are simply flat, hard, deep fried dough only. In essence, 4×4 chips of hardtack quality. They are tastelessly bitter, abrasive and sure to remove all of the skin on your upper palate when chewing. It comes with a cup of neon colored, bright red, gelatinous sauce. The scary color and texture was not something I was willing to dare. Straight to the trash after one bite.
