James’ Breakfast and More – Wrentham, MA – Home Is A Kitchen

James’ is a few steps up from a diner, but it still has that casual feel of a family restaurant. The dining room is bright and inviting for breakfast.

James is a mad genius, and I have the utmost respect for the choices he’s made at his restaurant.

When we walked in, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The interior seemed a little disjointed on the surface. But when we rounded the corner and I saw the window to the open kitchen, I knew we were in for a treat.

Our server, Eric, was so chill, hilarious, and charming. He mentioned he’s been friends with James for 30 years, and that speaks volumes to the type of operation they’re running here.

The menu and the food were eccentric diner food, but every detail was intentional. All the menu items are just a little whimsical: “omelette-o-rama,” “brain scrambler,” “roast beast,” “veterinarian.”
And the food itself was delicious, and clearly crafted with care. The corned beef hash was homemade, the breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and spiced, and the roast beast sandwich came dressed with boursin cheese and horseradish. Even the fries are a mix of russet and sweet potatoes. And the portions are massive at a great price.

My only complaint, and I realize how insane this sounds, is that there was so much roast beef on my sandwich, the other flavors got lost. I had to take some off to the side. When your worst transgression is serving too much meat, you are doing something very, very right.

James’ is a place I will absolutely be returning to. It’s the best type of diner that’s hearty, friendly, and operated with care.

Local home dinner kind of feel. Didn’t see James or find out if he really exists, but our friends like this place. We came here a couple times and it’s comfortable if you’re looking for a local rural feel.

The food is as expected for brunch. We’ve only come here for brunch. Not a place we’d want to try for dinner.

Rural, so mostly local regulars. If you bring your date here, mostly likely she is a local and so are you and you guys have already been here a few times. Try some place new to spice things up.

First time here this morning. Very nice homey place, loved the decor. Every element of my breakfast was very good. Nice scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, perfect French toast & pancakes. The home fries are a must! Very nice flavor & presentation. Great servers & service. Will definitely be back!

This is been one of my favorite breakfast places for many many years. I moved out of the area and recently visited. They have expanded which has given much more seating indoors and now they have an outdoor area. The food is still very fresh and the services just outstanding! A warm and friendly place to go to. Lots of parking and plenty of handicap parking. This is very friendly to a handicap wheelchair or anybody who has special needs. There are ramps and doors and wide spaces. No stone is unturned at James’s Cafe!!

If you have found my review helpful please give me a thumbs up and feel free to follow me for future reviews.

Had a very nice time here, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating for our young kids. Food was good we ate every bite! Only reason for not 5 stars was the shock of the price of my wife’s single waffle with a few berries (see pic) it was 17$! Besides that all was great and would go back for sure.

A Hidden Gem in Foxboro: James’ Breakfast & More

If you’re ever in Foxboro and in search of an extraordinary breakfast experience, look no further than James’ Breakfast & More. My recent visit, coming all the way from the Hamptons, was nothing short of a delightful culinary adventure that left me absolutely raving.

Upon entering, you might underestimate this quaint little spot—it’s tucked away in a building you wouldn’t typically associate with fine dining. However, don’t let appearances fool you! The service and food here are truly phenomenal, earning my highest compliments, especially as someone accustomed to the upscale eateries of the Hamptons.

We kicked off our meal with the fresh fruit bowl, which was not just a bowl of fruit but a beautifully arranged masterpiece. The grapefruit was perfectly prepped, so there was no need to dig out the segments myself—such a thoughtful touch! The melon was sweet, the grapes bursting with freshness, and it was the ideal way to start our day.

Now, I initially had my heart set on pancakes (who doesn’t love a stack of fluffy goodness?), but when I inquired about the special of the day, our server’s enthusiasm for the “Philly cheesesteak omelette” was infectious. I’m so glad we took his recommendation! The omelette was a revelation—cooked to perfection, filled with fresh ingredients, and served hot. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality and flavor.

And let me just take a moment to rave about the coffee situation. A full-sized mug at the table that was generously refilled at no extra charge? Heaven! I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate a proper coffee cup, rather than the tiny diner cups that leave you craving more after just two sips.

Overall, our experience at James’ Breakfast & More was exceptional. The combination of top-notch service, delectable food, and cozy atmosphere made for a memorable meal. In fact, we loved it so much that we’re planning to return today before we head back home. I can’t wait to try more of their offerings on our next visit to the area. Don’t miss out on this fantastic little spot—it truly is a hidden gem!

Good breakfast options that are a step above your normal dinner experience. Tried the cast iron killer which is a nice lightly chared hash served with sliced home fries and topes with onions and chives nicely plated too. The family got french toast. One was banana bread with pecan butter which was delicious

The food was great. We were a group of 5. We sat outside since the weather was warm and sunny. We had Banana bread with maple, walnut butter, Cast iron killer, Brain scrambler, OMG James omelet and another one which I can’t remember the name of. And with that of course coffee. The waiter was friendly. The place seems to be crowded. We were kind of the last people to go out. And they don’t serve lunch on Sundays. They mentioned it. I believe it’s to give people some rest. Overall it’s quite nice.

On Point Breakfast. I ordered standard fare it came out looking like a Vegas 5 star breakfast. Kind of Hidden Away in an area you wouldn’t figure a restaurant would be, but it’s beautifully clean, the food was delicious and beautiful to look at. Can’t say enough positive things.
Definitely recommend
