This outdoor seafood restaurant sits atop a sunny hill with excellent views of the ocean. We ate a number of fried and grilled dishes, all excellently prepared and light even in the summer heat. The service was prompt and perfect for a quick lunch. Note that the restaurant seems fairly popular, so it would be best to call ahead to request a table.

We stayed a week in Lorenzo al Mare and tried different restaurants each day. Until we went to Il Veliero – we just went back to them after trying them. By far the best restaurant in town. The view: amazing. The food: oh my god. So fresh, so delicious, simply perfect. I can’t understand how they don’t get five stars straight from everyone. The prices are exactly like in other restaurants but the taste and the view are much superior.

Hidden gem! Beautiful spot in a quiet location. The sound of the sea it’s the only background noise! Situated on a pedestrian/bike route, make sure you stop here for lunch.
The tartare trio was out of this world and the owner is really passionate about his plates. Kudos to the funniest waiter ever!

We had a lunch here with a big group of friends. I had arranged it with Andrea ahead of time and we could not have had a better experience. Everything was perfect, the service exceptional and the food was gorgeous!! They variety of antipasti and the pasta dishes – excellent! And to top it off a delicious birthday cake for dessert. Thank you Andrea and team, we will be back!!!

The atmosphere has more of a roadside diner flare. If you don’t reserve a table you’ll have to sit between the road and the pedestrian lane. The seats are light plastic. The view from the terasse is nice tho, the food is ok and the service is friendly!
