We ordered the Friday specials, Friday haddock and the soup and BLT sandwich. We also ordered off the menu the patty melt. Everything we ordered was very good . Service was excellent and the atmosphere was good. Nice place to chill out and watch the game.

We have been here a few of times. Food is normally pretty good. We went last night and the waitress was a little frustrating. I think she tried, but maybe waitressing isn’t her thing. What could have been an “upsell” basically fell through because she couldn’t figure it out. My husband wanted a side of gravy with his fries, which we knew they had because it was offered as an appetizer, and at first she said they couldn’t do it. Then she said that maybe she could, and finally figured it out. Then when I had questions on different items on the menu, she would say things that made me not want to order said item. I placed my order, and tried to order it with “loaded” fries and she said she didn’t know what that was. I said, just fries with cheese and bacon and she said it wasn’t on the menu anymore so they couldn’t do it. No problem. But then they were out of the food item I wanted. Which is also fine. That happens. But then the table next to us had issues as well. They wanted to order maybe a higher shelf whiskey, but she didn’t seem to understand what they wanted. They tried to tell her a couple different ways, and then they finally said nevermind, just give us a house whiskey and lemonade. And she said ok, I can do that. Overall, she was nice enough, and our food was ok.

Stopped for lunch on Tuesday just in time for the Tuesday specials. For $10 it’s so much food and delicious. I had a half roasted chicken with taters and corn. Very large portion. It was seasoned so well and very tender except parts of the breast a little dry. Overall excellent. My wife had the Salmon teriyaki and it was also very good, maybe a little dry. Also had jalapeño coins appetizer which are great. The rest of the menu is extensive and I’d like to try some of the intriguing entries there. The Tuesday deal changes weekly and we were able to sit on the deck outside and it was fabulous. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures because I dug right. I have a pic of Jalapeños.

Went to dinner with friends, ordered chicken noodle soup and garlic spinachi flatbread. I asked the waitress to bring my soup proir to the flatbread. I got the soup prior to the flatbread, soup was OK. When everyone at table received meal, I also got mine. The flatbread was cold to the touch. The waitress did come around and asked if everything was OK, I told her the flatbread was cold, she said she could take it back to have it warmed. I informed her I did not want it. She took it,then returned minutes later saying it was warm. I again said to her I did not want it. 4 stars to the waitress as she was attentive. Atmosphere give 5 stars because I was spending time with friends. This was my 4th time at Surfside Charlies for a meal. Each time the food has been disappointing or the service has been lacking.. I certainly will not recommend this establishment to anyone .The visit was on February 1st. It snowed on January 31st. Our group was 8 people NOT 12. Food is expected to be served hot

Three strikes and I’m out , first time leaving a bad review on a restaurant, but here we are . First experience 6 months ago , slow staff even when not peak hours . Cold entrees but good appetizers , paired with Guinness they cracked open and didn’t pour so it was flat. Fast forward to July attempt 2 to eat here . Burger night , what could go wrong , well they seem to look past you when your not 65 years old , skipped on seating 2 times , they apologized about seating groups ahead of us but did it 2 times , then we stood waiting and basically watched the Skippers eat whole meal before we got to sit down . Third times the charm , No we were skipped again , then skipped again by another couple that took seats at bar , staff acknowledged them jumping us , then another party of 4 . Skipped , again standing there looking at people who came after us eating . Then get told sorry again , not even an offer for a drink . 20 minutes passes and the hostess tell us by the way even when you get seated expect another 20 minute wait on food . Was this attempt to brush us off, or her just being rude without knowing . This place is a retirement funded restaurant, don’t waste your time if you have a life to get back to . Simply on retired time , don’t waste yours if you value your sanity or have anywhere to be for 2 hours .Check out my other reviews , I don’t make these claims without validation. As someone who lives near here , trying to find a local place to go consistently. Absolutely Let Down . Real Shame

I met chef Larry in my Uber. He told me about Burger night and that he makes the best burgers. I brought my wife by to give them a try. Larry didn’t disappoint. Great burgers. Great fries and a surprisingly good cole slaw. Thanks for the recommendation and you can cook me a burger anytime.

The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is always great. They also serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. The home fries are delicious and the food is always hot. I highly recommend this place. The chefs and the bartenders are all the sweetest people you could ever meet with so much experience

I tried Surfside Charlie’s for the first time tonight. They have a burger special on Monday night for $5.00. The burger comes with one side of your choice. When I got my burger, I looked so delicious. It wasnlt just a flat frozen patty, but a fresh hand pressed burger and it was hot and juicy. That burger was one of tje best burgers that I have had in a long time. It had a good flavor and it was more than I could eat. I took half of it home for lunch tomorrow. The music was very loud and you could not talk over the music. It was a little irritating to have to hear the loud music, but it ended at 7:00 pm and a conversation was easier after the music stopped. The server was very friendly and told uscabout the Monday night burger special. I noticed they have specials on a few other nights. They have a good variety on the menu, and something for even the pickiest eater. Give them a try. I know I will be going back again for anktjer Monday night burger special.

Although I have dietary restrictions I ended up having the muscles in a garlic wine sauce which was absolutely beyond fabulous. I also had the bacon house salad which was also on the appetizer list. It was spinach bacon grape tomatoes feta cheese and I don’t do sauces because I’m gluten-free used the sauce from the muscles which was the garlic wine tomato and oil sauce which made the fabulous salad even better.
An unexpected surprise there was a live musician playing guitar and singing he took requests and he played a song that had the name of one of the girls we were with because we were celebrating her birthday and he sang it for her and he wished her happy birthday and part of the whole restaurant also wished her happy birthday. His music was very good very good variety everybody sang along and clapped when he was done with each song and we found out who he was and now me and my friends have a new person to go see when he sings locally.
Update September 2024 here once again with the girls. Having the steamed mussels again with the delicious sauce that I poured on my grilled chicken salad. And again we had the wonderful single guitar player the one man band himself fabulous music good dining excellent service.
