Very cool place on this tiny island. Simple, laid-back, authentic Caribbean set up on a beautiful beach. We enjoyed a fish and chips with coleslaw lunch, which was prepared and served without fuss while we watched the activities of the local community alongside the waterfront. Washed down with a couple of beers, it was a lovely way to while away a couple of hours.

Well y’all, it is quite a trek to get to this little gem of an island (no joke, plane to puddle jumper to boat to get here) but it’s well worth it! The view is phenomenal, ocean and islands compete for beauty. And oh my the lobster at this bar is to die for! We also had fresh coconut juice (chopped open right in front of us) with rum…. Let’s just say a mighty fine time was had by all. This bar is situated in a small bay with calm clear waters and the softest sand. And of course, we had to leave our Gator stamp here 😉 Highly recommend you drop anchor here if given the opportunity.

We ate dinner at the Last Bar and overall it was excellent. I had the red snapper which was served with some potatoes and other vegetables. It was tasty and perfectly cooked. We sat outside overlooking the bay and it was lovely. The co-owner Medina was incredibly friendly and helpful. We needed to pay by credit card and she drove us into town to pay at her uncle’s restaurant. While this may seem to be inconvenient- we really enjoyed the ride and she gave us a brief tour of the town. She was probably the nicest server we had during our trip around the islands!!!

CAUTION:

We arrived by sail boat and we put our dingy on front of the restaurant with a blue roof next to this restaurant (see photo). After dark, someone untied the dingy and it started to float away. We are not sure what happened and if someone was trying to steal it. Luckily we noticed it and retrieved it near the shore We heard that another dingy was stolen here in February,2023. I would be cautious with your dingy and bring it to the beach next to the restaurant.

The beach and bay are lovely and not to be missed so enjoy it but be careful.

A must stop for traditional cuisine or libations. Atmosphere is laid back with sand below your feet, music and even a pool table. Whether a lounge back seat at the bar or the ample table seating, there is a feeling of relaxation and island time.

Best place to be in Salt Whistle Bay. The fish in creole sauce was the best during our trip! Great atmosphere, nice and happy people. Richard and the team are great hosts with an ear for each and any question and a never-ending laugh on their faces – really enjoyed the evening! Thanks!

Beach barbeque done right. Richard makes a great vegetable rice and garlic potatoes. It almost makes you forget about how good the lobster and fish are… Almost.

Great meal from start to finish, all masterfully prepared in an authentic Caribbean way. The lobster was cut in half, with a great buttery and sweet flavor. If you like fish, and red snapper is on the menu for the day, do yourself a favor and get it! Possibly the best fish I’ve had on the islands.

We came along here on NYE. A big feast was being prepared for some French and Italian guests. But the owner, whilst clearly busy, made sure he took time out to chat to us and make us feel welcome. Great service and clearly a very well run business on our favourite beach in the grenadines
