Came in in January after the new owners took over. Atmosphere was tired and so was the pizza . We came back because the owners seemed so nice. But on our return visit , the owners were not sociable at all and the pizza was below average. The owner was very unfriendly had nothing really to say to us, kind of seemed like they really didn’t want to be there. The pizza toppings are very scarce. The pizza had been out for awhile and toppings were spread out on top and reheated. Hope the owners are reading reviews so they can figure out how to get it together. A coat of paint would help improve atmosphere but If the owners want to succeed, they need to improve their social skills fast. They gave us no reason to want to come back.

We saw the sign out front ‘best pizza in Buena Vista’. Thought that kind of funny… along the line of being the worlds tallest dwarf. Really not that much of a claim to fame. The sign was true, but understated. This is one of the best pizzas of the country! Amazing. Great service, great prices, great pizza. Not on your way? Detour! Well worth it.

Food was ok, but the manager or owner, whatever she is, was so rude. Literally less than two minutes after I had put in my order I asked if I could have the pizza in a to go box. She says, “oh, I thought you said you wanted to eat here?..” I explained to her that I do intend on eating in, but could not eat my appetizer and a whole pizza. She responded with,”well that could have been helpful to know when you ordered.” !!??? Excuse me?! She hadn’t even conveyed my order to the cooks yet, so how was I troubling her?? They maybe had three tables, so it’s not like I was causing her some huge amount of stress.I don’t care how good the food is. The management sucks. I will not be returning.

Fairly bare-bones pizza joint. No fountain drinks or beer of any kind sold here. Only a small selection of canned sodas and bottled Gatorade. Pizza was good albeit, lacking somewhat on toppings. Excellent crust (I usually don’t like thin crust), great sauce, but needing more toppings, IMO. Give this non-chain restaurant a try if you’re hungry for pizza and in Buena Vista, CO.

Tried to call the manager because there was a bare minimum of 3 toppings on two pizzas. It was sauce and crust. On a large pizza, was 11 Pepperoni’s, I’ve seen more on one piece at Domino’s, a spoonful of sausage and 7 black olives. Never got a call back, so never again will pizza works get my business. Rip off, rip off. Go to Domino’s, don’t waste your money here.

While waiting to place our order, we viewed a long-haired young man swirling the pizza sauce on the pizza crust with his bear fingers. He then lazily applied the cheese. Finally, he licked his fingers and was about to grab more toppings when my husband locked eyes with him. He quickly walked around the corner and out of sight. We decided not to order pizza at this establishment.

My husband and i moved to Buena Vista about 6 mths ago. The choices for pizza restaurants was pretty small. We were excited to try this place so we got takeout. Im sorry and I hate to give bad review to a local restaurant but the pizza was horrible. The crust wasn’t done and it was soggy. There was very little flavor.

Appeared to have changed owners in the past yeat. We were greeted by very nice people. Good pizza. We called ahead as we headed thru town on our way home from backpacking for a week and they had it ready when we arrived.

The best pizza that is hand thrown dough made fresh there!!! The ranch dressing is a secret recipe and is AMAZING!!!! Very friendly staff and management that make you feel like you’ve been best friends for years!!!!! It is a MUST STOP!!!

My family has been coming here for years and tonight was our first experience at the new pizza works, and I can honestly say it was the worst customer service and experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant! Our order was messed up several times, we were told that we couldn’t get two different kinds of toppings on each half of our pizza ( which I’ve never been to a pizzeria where you couldn’t do that.) when we were explaining our order to the lady at the front counter it literally took 3 or 4 times after explaining it very easily for her to get it, and all she kept saying was I don’t understand what you want? After the first time they messed up our order and we waited 20 mins for the pizza to at least be close to being done, and when we came to check on it they said it wasnt even put in the oven yet. So we had to wait another 15 mins, and then even tho we told them it was to go they brought it out to us not in to go boxes. And on top of it all we received attitude from a few of the staff members like it was our fault. I will never go to that place again and will make sure to tell other ppl about our experience there.
