We were very impressed with this place. The food was hot, delicious, tasty, and came quickly and strategically since its a tapas style. The Woman who we believe is the owner or manager was one of the sweetest people we have ever met that we could not help but to hug her when we left. The train side of the restaurant was very dark, quiet, and intimate which was a perfect birthday date night for my wife and I. This place represents Uruguay in the best way possible. I can not wait to bring the rest of our friends and family here. Thank you to the staff for the experience.

Tasty food, good vibe, but possibly short-staffed.

The best things imo were the ham and cheese empanadas, the (young) chicken, and the pork sausage. The empanada was delicious, the chicken tender (but imo a bit over herbed), and the pork sausage blissfully charred and oozing with flavor. The wood grilled shisito peppers are a nice spin on the ubiquitous blistered shisito trend, with the wood and lemon zest imparting both warmth and brightness. The wild mushrooms were not my thing, and according to my girlfriend, a bit sour. Lastly, the rib eye was a bit underwhelming and nothing to write home about.

I feel the staff are too busy and it takes a while to be noticed to be seated and ordering and getting staff is a game of cat and mouse. However they and the manager are friendly when you have them.

This is a real gem off the beaten path in Watertown. The food is of exceptional quality and the service top notch. You can’t go wrong no matter what you order. Even things you might not think you will like are so well prepared and composed you will be surprised. A couple of suggestions include the duck (must be ordered day in advance!) and the desserts – you’ve got to save a little room for these! Great place for everything from a gathering of friends to a formal work celebration to an intimate date night. Finally their drinks are exceptional in both creativity and preparation.

Had a great experience at La Bodega in Watertown. The service was truly high level — very attentive, friendly, and professional without being overwhelming. You can tell they really care about their guests.

The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was well prepared and came out at the perfect time.

The atmosphere is also a big plus — warm, cozy, and inviting. It’s a great spot whether you’re going for a relaxed dinner or celebrating something special.

We didn’t have reservation and the place was full. The owner was super nice and found us seats at the bar. The view of the bartender preparing all of the pretty drinks was a show! They were full and seemed under-staffed but the drinks came quickly and we enjoyed these while waited to order and for the dishes to come. We had the pan con tomatoes, grilled octopus, wild mushrooms and empanadas. All fantastic but the octopus was the best. Definitely a return visit needed to try out the duck that everyone recommends.

Update with our second visit with the whole family (of 4). Had the duck. It was fantastic! You have to request 48 hours beforehand. Would like to highly recommend the grilled flounder, povolone cheese, and grilled baby carrots. The duck dish is heavy so that 3-4 small plates for a family of 4 was enough for us. We left satisfied and full!

This restaurant is pure magic!!! We sat at the bar – the whole space is just beautiful. Good energy! When we mentioned that we had just gotten engaged, they brought champagne and dessert and told us to scream it from the rooftops because it brings everyone who hears it so much joy! We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing food, we ordered 4 tapas. All were excellent, but between my spouse and I we rated each one completely different. My favorite was Flounder, her favorite was Pork Sausuage. Service was great and atmosphere was nice not too loud, yet lively. Will visit again.

And the passion fruit cocktail was a

We were brought here by our friends living in Boston during our holiday. The highlight is definitely the roasted duck. Crispy skin and the inside is just super tender and juicy! Will come back again the next time if we ever go Boston

The atmosphere of this place is perfect for a first date or a friends night out. The food is fresh and delicious. I loved the Wood Grilled Spanish Wild Octopus . It was charred and so flavorful yet soft on the inside. The Parrilla Completa came with Wood Grilled Ribeye , Pork Sausage and Free Range Chicken and they were all so soft and flavorful.

The place gets quite busy so the service can be kind of slow but the workers here are so cheerful and sweet.

The portions are quite small for the price but they are definitely worth a try, especially in such a beautiful and aesthetic restaurant/bar.
