Was recommended to us by a friend and now I owe my friend my first born for such an amazing recommendation! We love visiting the Asheville area for long weekend getaways and now this place is a must stop for us. The people are so nice here and the coffee and sandwiches are absolutely amazing! I can tell quality is important to them and it shows in the service, food, and atmosphere!!

We decided to stop by this place on our way back to Charleston, Sc and I had chocolate croissant and iced coffee craving in mind. The bakery has great coffee and some good bakeries. I wish they had chocolate croissant but they don’t so we settled for the pie, jalapeño cream cheese pastry, and vegetable quiche, the inside is a typical local breakfast /coffee shop with some sodas options and mineral water types drinks.

Fantastic spot! The staff are so warm and welcoming, and the selection for breakfast or lunch is great. Everything is homemade with local ingredients, and you can taste the quality. We tried the chocolate croissant, spinach-feta pastry, avocado toast, and the house-made iced chai latte — all delicious. Definitely coming back and highly recommend!

Such a cozy atmosphere! Their bread is delicious, but the real gem in my opinion are the key lime bars! They are the perfect balance between sweet and tart that leaves you wanting more with an amazing crust that’s not too thick or crumbly. Best I’ve ever had, please don’t ever stop making them!

The customer service was professional and pleasant. The price was a little high for a breakfast sandwich and it was not the fastest but that sandwich was the closest to perfection I have ever had. Asiago Bagel with Bacon, Egg and Herb Cream Cheese with a little hot sauce. That sandwich was made with love. I will definitely be returning.

I stopped in to the bakery instead of the cafe. There were a few people in line in front of me, but the line moved fairly quickly. It seemed that the person attending the couple in front of me disappeared from the register to either complete their order or do something else, but I was left by myself in front of the register. Someone else appeared a short while later, surprised that I was standing there. I ordered a walnut brownie to go. I guess these days >$5 for a brownie is normal, and the size was quite large. I went outside and decided to sit at a small bench that they had there. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sit there for very long because the smell of the trash can nearby was overwhelming. The brownie was mediocre. A bit too sweet and not chocolatey enough. It wasn’t crusty on the outside and chewy-gooey on the inside. Instead, it was just dense. Maybe their other products or their café are better, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

We have been coming here for a long time. Love this place. The bread and pastries are so delicious. However, I’m sad to see that they are no longer carrying organic coffee. The coffee they are carrying is local, which is nice, but I would think in today’s world it would be best to support farmers who are growing organically. Many businesses today can’t afford an organic label although the beans bought to roast and sell are committed to such practices. In such cases they say so on their website and packaging. Cooperative Coffee Roasters doesn’t say anything about their non organic coffee practices, however they do have Organic coffees. I also thought the focus was organic breads and pastries and that their flour was organic, but now I’m wondering if this commitment is still true seeing that the coffee has changed. I asked at the register and the three people working looked at each other rather confused, looking at someone else who said yes. In today’s world with so much being put in food, if a restaurant is committed to healthy living, employees should know and be proud of such, and signs should be hung that provokes thought and support for the movement that is so important in today’s world where our soil is depleting quickly, and pollinators are being destroyed by toxic agricultural practices, cloud seeding and water pollution. Which brings me to another question, do you all filter your water? And if so , what are you filtering out? I’ve asked this before and was told yes, however I asked today and no one was sure about that too. Thanks so much.

maybe the best pastry I have ever had! the dough was perfect. so many sweet treats. mostly indoor seating with a few tables outside.

only suggestion is the pastry glass was a little hard to see through when we went – may need to be wiped down.
