Used to be great. I always enjoyed their carne aside. the last few times quality has seemed lower.

I ordered a few $13.00 breakfast burrito’s this morning and was so disappointed. The sausage, potato/french fries,, egg and cheese burritos had no measurable amount of eggs. Minus all the stars for the way the manager doubled down when I showed him the insides. he insisted they always use two scrambled eggs and if i want more eggs to ask for extra egg and pay more. End of conversation.

The lack of eggs was disappointing but kitchens get busy and mistakes happen. I wrote my review because of the way the manager dismissed the quality control issue and tried to gaslight me.

I ordered two adobada burritos with sour cream and three rolled tacos, and everything was excellent! The lettuce, tomato, and guacamole were fresh, and the tacos were perfectly crispy and delicious. The burrito tortillas were soft and fresh, and the meat was tender with great flavor. I highly recommend Nacho Taco — one of the best Mexican spots I’ve tried in San Diego. Excellent service and very friendly.

When I learned they had a Chile relleno burrito on the menu, I decided to try it because I am a fan.

The burrito was of average size when it arrived, but I was a little disappointed with it when I sliced it in half and noticed a skinny cheese stuffed Anaheim pepper inside, not the proper poblano pepper in all its glory. Not only was the chile relleno flavor not there, but its size was quite insufficient relative to the rest of the ingredients in the burrito.

The burrito came with a lot of rice and cheese which was not necessary since the Chile relleno already comes with cheese. The burrito also had a white substance in it, which I think was sour cream, I was not a fan of the cream in the burrito here. On a good note, their red hot sauce was very tasty.

The service was friendly. The young lady at the counter was very nice, but I really thought the Chile relleno burrito was just okay. I hope they use a poblano peppers in the near future. The cash price for the burrito was $11.81 plus tax.

There’s inside and outside seating.

Simply the best rolled tacos in all of San Diego. Smothered in tons of guacamole, lettuce and cheese. Can’t really comment on the rest of the menu because I’ve never been able to resist ordering them every time I’ve went. Not close to my house at all but make a point to stop by every time I’m in La Mesa.

Great food at a great price.
Stopped in for a quick bite, wanted something soft as I was at the dentist earlier so I ordered a quesadilla with
guacamole and it was on point. Let’s be honest, quesadillas are the Mexican Mac-N-Cheese, just good comfort food that every kid would be happy with. Adults don’t usually order quesadillas and that needs to change. Nacho’s serves a great quesadilla. I ordered mine with guacamole and they put a generous amount in the quesadilla, not on the side as some do. Another thing that I appreciated, they cut it in half, not quarters like most do. When it is cut in quarters, the two main pieces have two cut edges and the cheese tends to run out the side you are not biting in to. This quesadilla had good flavor, was hot and plenty of guacamole, but the base price was only $5.11 and $1.50 for the guacamole, well worth it.
The salsa was good, the verde was surprisingly spicy.
Eat at Nacho’s!

I wish I could give it less stars . I’ve been there a few times and did drive through. No one came to the window, not sure where the cashiers were and I could see the cooks just standing around. There were no customers inside but after waiting for anybody to help me I left. This the second time it happens and don’t need a third. Another time the cashier came, took my order and let me know they were busy so he asked me to park and wait so I did. But this last time no one came to the window even thought there was staff there. Would not recommend it.

I personally can’t say enough good words to describe my experience with them and their well thought out menu and of course the fantastic food.
By all means give them a try if you haven’t already.

Went at the peak of the lunch rush and the service was great. Didn’t take too long and have to recommend the surf and turf burrito. Good sauce balance and generous ratio of shrimp and asada to the rice and cheese.
