The presentation was excellent and, to be fair, the food we had tasted amazing. Clearly good-quality ingredients and thoughtful plating on the savoury dishes.

That said, the portion sizes for adults were very small, especially considering the price point. The desserts were the biggest let-down : no real presentation and portions closer to kids’ size, which was disappointing. We didn’t even take photos as the disappointment was immediate when they arrived.

The cost is hard to justify. $510 for two adults and two kids feels excessive for what was delivered overall (minus $138 for the wine)

On the positive side, the staff were very attentive, service was genuinely excellent, and the views are beautiful, which does add to the experience.

Would I go back? Not at this price. The quality is there, but the value just isn’t.

We had 2 x tables of 10 people! The food was nothing short of amazing every dish was crafted with incredible flavour, balance, and attention to detail. You could taste the quality and care in every bite. From the entrées to the dessert, everything was executed perfectly.

The service was equally as impressive!! The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the experience special without ever feeling intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings added an extra layer of sophistication to the night.

Overall, it was a beautiful dining experience that I would happily recommend to anyone looking for exceptional French cuisine paired with outstanding service. I can’t wait to return.

Lovely little French restaurant by the beach. I did a “surf and turf”: lobster entrees with beef bourguignon main. Was delicious. Wish I had room for dessert. Next time.

Really amazing service and wow desserts were amazing. I’m extremely picky with desserts but I loved the crepes I had and I also loved my husband’s dessert too. I enjoyed the souffle, it was delicious. I also usually never order lamb as I hate the smell but I ended up loving my husband’s lamb he had for the main, no smell, cooked perfectly and so delicious! The food were creative and well executed, please tell the chef he/she did a fantastic job. The tuna tartare I had also had a lot of amazing flavours I had such an amazing time with my husband and so impressed with the desserts even though I usually don’t like a lot of restaurants’ desserts. Love

We had our 20th anniversary at L’isle de France yesterday and had a lovely time, enjoying great views over the ocean.

The degustation menu was absolutely amazing – our compliments to the chef. Very well prepared, azing produce and well presented. The scallops and the banana chocolate dessert was the highlights.

The matching wines were perfectly selected.

The service was great and we had fun.

If there is something we’d like to see improve, it’s the lighting. Perhaps dim it a little bit to add more atmosphere to the beautiful decorated restaurant.

Thank you – we’re certainly coming back!

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at this restaurant and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The ambiance was perfect – cozy, intimate and romantic – just what we were looking for. An absolutely beautiful venue with incredible food. The service was faultless and Sidney, our wait staff, was exception.
The flavours were rich and profound, and it was clear that the chef has an incredible skillset. Whilst the venue is quite expensive, there is some justification noting the quality and taste.
We attended for a birthday celebration dinner and would recommend this to others.
Parking is quite difficult, with street parking being near impossible and the garage below being tight and tricky to navigate for larger vehicles (3 point turns to navigate the tight corners in a 4×4). I could see it very difficult to park if the restaurant was booked out, as parking downstairs is limited. I would suggest given this is restaurant dedicated parking, the dumped rubbish should be cleaned up down there.
Being a night event, it is a shame that the ocean could not be seen or heard, but understandably the visual aspect is out of the venues control.
We will definitely attend again in future for major events and really enjoyed out meals and service experience.

I only gave four stars because the steak Mignon and fries were honestly so underwhelming that it wasn’t much different to a pub steak and chips. At $44 for the dish you’d think it would be a little more special. To be fair the service was excellent and you cant fault the staff, the rest of the meals were quite good but not exceptional for the price point.

L’isle de France is by far our favourite restaurant on the Central Coast. From the fabulous meals right down to the beautiful decor and ambience of traditional French music sets the perfect atmosphere for a special occasion. The staff are so attentive, personable and obliging- nothing is too much trouble.
We absolutely love Tim who works there, he is such a joy to be around and always ensures that you’re well looked after. He is actually one of the main drawcards to our entire family returning time and time again for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Do yourself a favour and try the fondant

The food was good, but nothing exceptional for someone used to French cuisine.

Given the price point, I was expecting something more refined in terms of flavours.

There was also a mistake on the receipt.

The ambiance could be improved with warmer lighting, as it felt a bit dull.
