That said, the portion sizes for adults were very small, especially considering the price point. The desserts were the biggest let-down : no real presentation and portions closer to kids’ size, which was disappointing. We didn’t even take photos as the disappointment was immediate when they arrived.
The cost is hard to justify. $510 for two adults and two kids feels excessive for what was delivered overall (minus $138 for the wine)
On the positive side, the staff were very attentive, service was genuinely excellent, and the views are beautiful, which does add to the experience.
Would I go back? Not at this price. The quality is there, but the value just isn’t.
The service was equally as impressive!! The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the experience special without ever feeling intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings added an extra layer of sophistication to the night.
Overall, it was a beautiful dining experience that I would happily recommend to anyone looking for exceptional French cuisine paired with outstanding service. I can’t wait to return.
The degustation menu was absolutely amazing – our compliments to the chef. Very well prepared, azing produce and well presented. The scallops and the banana chocolate dessert was the highlights.
The matching wines were perfectly selected.
The service was great and we had fun.
If there is something we’d like to see improve, it’s the lighting. Perhaps dim it a little bit to add more atmosphere to the beautiful decorated restaurant.
Thank you – we’re certainly coming back!
The flavours were rich and profound, and it was clear that the chef has an incredible skillset. Whilst the venue is quite expensive, there is some justification noting the quality and taste.
We attended for a birthday celebration dinner and would recommend this to others.
Parking is quite difficult, with street parking being near impossible and the garage below being tight and tricky to navigate for larger vehicles (3 point turns to navigate the tight corners in a 4×4). I could see it very difficult to park if the restaurant was booked out, as parking downstairs is limited. I would suggest given this is restaurant dedicated parking, the dumped rubbish should be cleaned up down there.
Being a night event, it is a shame that the ocean could not be seen or heard, but understandably the visual aspect is out of the venues control.
We will definitely attend again in future for major events and really enjoyed out meals and service experience.
We absolutely love Tim who works there, he is such a joy to be around and always ensures that you’re well looked after. He is actually one of the main drawcards to our entire family returning time and time again for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Do yourself a favour and try the fondant
Given the price point, I was expecting something more refined in terms of flavours.
There was also a mistake on the receipt.
The ambiance could be improved with warmer lighting, as it felt a bit dull.
