4 days open and really my only complaint is the booth seating. There are no cushions so you are sitting on painted plywood, which is not only uncomfortable it makes you sit lower to the table. That is the only reason I took away a star. They offer you rolls and cinnamon butter which are just so so. The butter has a very granulated sugar making it crunchy. We ordered the cowboy nachos for a starter. I’d order those again. For our main course, I ordered the rib eye med rare with green beans and onion rings. My husband got the battered fish, slaw and steak fries. My steak was cooked to perfection, a perfect med rare and great char. Although I wish it had a little more flavor, the herb butter on top was delicious, next time I will ask for extra to help amp it up a bit. The green beans were good but next time I’ll try something else. The onion rings were very good. My husband’s fish was huge. It was also delicious. The fries were good. The slaw definitely needs more flavor. All in all $70 for both meals was pretty average on what we spend eating out. My husband liked the fish so much he said, “The food is so good I almost forgot I was sitting on plywood.”
The service was phenomenal.

We had a really nice experience here. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. My husband and I both ordered steaks and they were excellent—very flavorful and cooked perfectly. My husband mentioned that the steak was better than any other restaurant in town. Our server, Shannon #2, was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Overall, great food and great service. We’ll definitely be back.

First off if you’ve been to the steakhouses in Morehead, Mt. Sterling or any other location in Kentucky that are “CattlemAn’s” then you know how top tier of a restaurant they are and I highly recommend. Please don’t get confused like me and many others I know and go to this “CattlemEn’s” and expect a similar experience. Someone saw a chance to take an extremely similar name and bring it into a market where people would see the name, know of those restaurants in Kentucky and not look too far into it not realizing they’re two totally unrelated restaurants. Well I’m here to tell you don’t waste your time or money here when 5 minutes away you could spend the same amount of money and get a great experience at Longhorn or spend even less money and still get better food at Logan’s. The whole menu is entirely too expensive for the product you receive. I ordered a 8oz sirloin with green beans and a Cesar salad, and an onion blossom split with the table for an appetizer. The onion blossom would be good if it weren’t overcooked. The Cesar salad was ample size and probably my favorite thing from the meal. The steak came out and seemed to be a filet, which is fine but it wasn’t what I ordered. However it was entirely overcooked and not seasoned at all. The scoop of garlic herb butter they put on top isn’t enough to cover the lack of flavor and tenderness. All in all with a tip it was over $40 for one meal and a split appetizer. I will say we had a good server but the price for the product is outrageous. If you want a good steak and you’re headed west on I64 hold off for another hour and try Cattleman’s in Morehead. It’s worth the wait.

Lindsey was the most awesome server. She was able to joke around with us and was so attentive to us while we were there. Food was great too. But id come back just for her. She has a great customer service style and she treated us like we were family. Fantastic waitstaff. Shes going places!

This place was amazing! Not busy, but should be. The bourbon barrel sirloin was so juicy and had a great flavor.

My boyfriend and I ate at the bar and was served by Sharice (hopefully spelled correctly) last weekend. Pleasant experience and great food. Our server was the best!
Unfortunately, our experience was poor on Valentine’s night. We made a reservation. Sat down, ordered, and waited an hour before deciding to leave. No food. No updates on how long to expect to wait. This was disappointing.

I got the Cattleman Sirloin with Caesar Salad and mashed potatoes my girlfriend got the salmon with rice and green beans. All of the food looked amazing and smelt great. However the steak was pretty flavorless and dry. The salmon glaze was overly sweet. The butter they served with the table rolls was gritty. All of these complaints aside, the service was outstanding and the manager was extremely nice. Give them a few weeks to get settled in and they’ll do good.

Two stars only for the manager, gentleman with the curly hair. Very nice. Other than that, don’t waste your time. Found a hair in our chicken, steak was very bland with no flavor. Service wasn’t anything to brag about, messed up our drink order. Woman’s bathroom smelled terrible and could be cleaner. For a ‘new restaurant’ this isn’t it. At all.

Our first time trying and we won’t be back. I asked to get a tiny sample of the Parmesan peppercorn sauce to see if I liked it before ordering the $18 meal and I was told I would have to pay $3 for a spoonful just to try it….. our server was very kind and it wasn’t her fault but the manger and owner need to do better. Absolutely ridiculous $3 for a spoonful of sauce to try. We were going to end up spending close to $80 on our dinner and after that we paid for our appetizer and left.
