I recently visited Artisans in Toms River again and unfortunately for the last time after another disappointing experience. I want to start by saying the servers themselves were excellent, attentive, polite, and clearly doing their best. However, it was very uncomfortable witnessing how they were treated by the owner. On multiple occasions, I observed the owner speaking to staff in a belittling and disrespectful manner it was heartbreaking to witness. It created an awkward atmosphere and honestly took away from the overall “fine” dining experience. As a past server I get the frustration management experience however respect is mutual.
As for the food, it was okay, but nothing memorable. The salad portion was generous, but everything else was ehh, especially considering the prices.
Great servers can only carry a place so far. The way management treats staff matters, and unfortunately, it showed. My husband and I have been a regular after being introduced to the place at a work dinner. However, after visiting a handful of times this was the second time I picked up on rude management and WE will no longer be customers. I hope ownership reflects on this because the staff deserve better, and customers notice.

My mind is blown, delicious food and drinks. Got the zucchini blossoms, grilled octopus, lobster ravioli, and a jalapeño margarita. Amazing!!! My son loved his food, said it’s the best in the area.

We hosted my mom’s 70th Birthday here and had a wonderful experience. The back room was perfect for our party of ~50, and the staff went out of their way to make the evening feel special. Everything was smooth from start to finish, Christy helped ensure every detail was taken care of ahead of time and Laura & her team we’re so helpful during setup and throughout the event. It was the perfect place to celebrate. Highly recommend for private events!

Looking for a restaurant with a menu that would offer something for every member of my family. This was a perfect selection. My son was able to order a pizza while I was able to get a steak and my husband enjoyed his pork chops. The cocktail was amazing and dessert was off the charts. Our server was magnificent. I will be returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Shrimp & Gemili was an amazing dish. Tiramasu was perfect. Bloody Mary was decent. The wings are the BEST in Toms River.

UPDATE: Been coming here for over a year now. Short Rib is amazing, the salmon is perfect and the wings are still the best in TR. The service is always top notch, Juan took care of us today and he was very attentive, kind and helpful!

Fab birthday party in open event room . Food was great, the place was clean! Modern decor. I had friends invited from 3 hours away, they had a great time. We had beef, veggies and potatoes for all guests. It was hot and tasty. Drinks were excellent , expresso martini !!!! The service was fast always available . Definitely try them out. It was a gathering of family and friends arranged by my gal and daughter in-law for my 70th birthday.

We went to the Thanksgiving buffet. We had a party of 8. The food was excellent. Turkey was juicy, butternut squash was delicious as were the brussel sprouts. The mashed potatoes were so tasty (homemade!) and everyone loved the sweet potatoes. The homemade gravy was great. The assortment of desserts we excellent also. There was nothing that anyone didn’t like. The staff is great also. Everyone was polite and friendly. Our server Zoe was so sweet and attentive. It was a really nice holiday experience and the women loved having the day off. We can’t say enough great things. If you were thinking of going and you didn’t, you missed out!

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Large, clean restaurant with inviting feel. Food was good and unique. I really enjoyed the dishes and the wine. Ordered a bottle of PN from Willamette Valley I haven’t seen on any menu in a while. Really enjoyed it. Great spot to bring the family. Thanks for the good time.

I have been going to Artisan at least once a month for years. My husband and I met our friend at 4:00 at the bar prior to dinner. Bartenders are great and very attentive. We left the bar at 5:00 to be seated in the bar area for dinner. Katlyn approached us promptly and took a drink order. Came back to take our order
My friend ordered the yummy Brussel sprouts and turkey meatball. My husband and I each ordered a hamburger. Shortly after the Brussel sprouts and meatballs arrived. When the hamburgers didn’t arrive after at least 30!minutes and Katlyn no where around. I went to the hostess station. They said a problem with the kitchen. Where was our server. ? All food should come out at the same time. Embarrassing for my friend we kept telling her to eat. Well the hamburgers did I believe come out around 45 minutes after my friend was served. At this point we refused them. Unacceptable.

I hosted my bridal shower here, and I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! The private room was absolutely beautiful — elegant, cozy, and perfect for celebrating such a special day. The staff was amazing from start to finish, and they created the most stunning dessert table that completely exceeded my expectations.
