I first heard about Copper Mug through the Pinole/El Sobrante Moms group and attended a family-friendly bingo night hosted by one of the moms. Kay was wonderful—I called ahead of time and he reserved a table for us. He was so welcoming upon arrival, making sure my three kids and I were taken care of from start to finish.
The food and service were amazing, with a great variety to choose from. We ordered chicken wings, mozzarella sticks (my son loved the cheese pull lol), chicken tenders with fries, catfish with fries, and calamari rings, and everything was absolutely delicious. There were so many options available, from appetizers to Indian food.
Great vibes, amazing service, and super family-friendly. We had so much fun playing bingo and enjoying all the great food. If you’re looking for a family-oriented spot with great food, this is the place to go—we’ll definitely be back!

I love to see such a quality bar so close to home, usually you’d have to go to Berkeley or further out to get a good cocktail, and nice atmosphere. We ordered Parmesan & lemon pepper wings, and sweet potatoes fries, the food was delicious hot and timely. They have a wide variety of beers on tap and cans, and a beautiful selection of craft cocktails specializing in various mules! The best part was how attentive the bartender Ebony and owner Kay were. Less than a year of being open, they already have a steady crowd of regulars, we will definitely be coming back. They also have a lounge room with a stage and karaoke set up!

Great food and service. We had food off of the Indian Menu and it was delicious. The spice level was perfect – we asked for spicy. They have a large variety of beverages, especially beers. They also have non-alcoholic beer options and mocktails which are great for non drinkers like me!

The vibes here are immaculate. Kay was such an amazing host. His service went above and beyond. Such a connoisseur of his craft and you can tell he genuinely cares about this restaurant/bar. Kay introduced himself and cared to know our name as well. He knows his regulars and it’s a pleasant change of pace to the normal dining experience.
Enjoyed a Monday night football game and an amazing meal. Not only will you find amazing local beers but the food here is spectacular. The menu is small but don’t let that keep you away. They know what they are doing. Highly recommend, they’ll take care of you.

First time coming to Copper Mug and I have to say, I am so happy I did! They have such a great ambiance and the owner Kay is extremely nice! The wide selection they have is quite literally unreal but they don’t stop there, they also have a full food menu ranging from finger foods to full entrees ! I got some butter chicken and garlic fries and they were both very yummy! I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back and recommend you check them out if you haven’t done so already!!

For starters, I have always had a soft spot for this location. I had delivered pizzas here as a teen. And then loved 4 corners. Was not thrilled with the last business in this spot, so I was beyond thrilled and smiling when I was immediately greeted by Kay (owner) & Adonney (not sure how to spell your name )… they were both so kind and friendly and engaging. I’d go back simply for the atmosphere, and the killer libation creations… then…. The food came out!!! I was only there for take-out, so I promptly made my way back home to enjoy!! SOOOOOO GOOD!!

El Sobrante has needed a place like Copper Mug. The food punches well above its weight- it’s bespoke bar snacks with an Indian twist, and they all deliver. Wings were delicious, samosas were our favorite, perfectly crispy and flavorful with potatoes and coriander, we got steamed chicken momos, delicious. Great tap list with clean lines, nice liquor selection, good music, good vibes, bar tender Ebony was dope As hell. Kay is doing a great job with this place, we’ll be back

The best bar in the SF East Bay. The owner, Kay, demonstrates a deep passion for service and community and the drive to succeed! The beer and liquor selection is phenomenal, with many alcohols you cannot find anywhere outside of niche restaurants and big cities. The food served here is also incredible! Standard bar food staples, as well as fantastic Indian cuisine. El Sobrante is truly blessed to have this gem of an establishment bestowed upon us!
