The food was absolutely incredible—fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. But what really blew me away was the value and the service. We fed three people for just $50! You simply can’t beat those great prices for this kind of quality.

I don’t like most Mexican restaurants. But I really like Taqueria La Perlita! The food is so flavorful and the choices for meat are unique to Illinois Mexican Restaurants. Had a beef tongue gordita that had the best tortilla. Al pastor taco and Chorizo taco that had the best flavor!! Wish I lived closer!

My family and I don’t eat meat, so we exclusively get the shrimp tacos/fajitas here, and THEY NEVER MISS. Everytime, the shrimp has been cooked to perfection, the portion sizes are great, and they always check on us every once in a while to make sure we’re doing okay. Highly recommend!

This was my first time visit…….and it’s delicious “”AUTHENTIC”” Mexican food. My order was serve hot, delicious and the chicken was very very tender. I was highly recommended by a Mexican friend “Jessica”. The staff was very friendly; they’ll go up and beyond to please their customers. The restaurant is small & cozy.. Great for take out — if you like to eat at home. They do serve bottle soda.. This is a MUST visit if looking for authentic Mexican food.

I am writing this review while sitting in the restaurant because I might forget to review this exceptional place. The food here is very authentic and the attention to detail with the presentation, spices, and taste are above any other mexican restaurant around. This is a family owned restaurant so their heart and soul go into making the food and boy you can tell. I will definitely start eating here more often. Very highly recommended.

It’s rare to find al pastor in a lot of Mexican places, so it’s my go-to whenever I see it. Pretty decent here. Nice wait staff, and unbelievably fast at 11:50a. Also, Mexican Coke products in a glass bottle.
