Excellent food!!!!! We got the tacos platter and the flautas, PHENOMENAL! The atmosphere was excellent, we went for lunch and there was ample seating. Our food came out in a very timely manner and we left with full and happy bellies! Will definitely be returning!

We’re so impressed by this place! Not only is the food phenomenal, this was the most kid-friendly service we’ve ever experienced at a restaurant! My husband and I came for Sunday brunch with our 1-year-old son. Right away, the older gentleman set us up with a high chair, closed to-go cup of water, and asked if our baby would be interested in some sweet salsa with tortilla chips. The kitchen specifically made the salsa, warm, without it being spicy. Our son was hesitant about it at first but asked for more after finally trying it. I had the breakfast tacos with cactus and my husband had the breakfast burrito. Both were great and big portions! The chorizo in the breakfast burrito was the best I’ve ever tasted. We also loved the tortilla and margaritas. Our picky eater son loves their refried beans, queso panela, and house potatoes. He ate more at this restaurant than most meals at home! We also got the delicious churros for dessert.
The staff were so kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed with the baby. The restaurant also has a changing table. All in all, would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

First I want to say the Christmas decorations are amazing. They went all out and it’s amazing! Stunning really!!! This place is amazing. Our server Emanuel was the best. He was super nice and attentive and took care of us! The food was so good and fresh. We would come here for margaritas which are amazing and the chupitas (lil shots) but now we have a plus one so I can’t drink… needless to say at this place you don’t have to drink to enjoy. Honest prices for amazing fresh quality and filling portions. Plus don’t forget to order the churros after. I was too full this time but 100% recommend.

Rarely do i post a review when food is really so good because i believe every experience should be a good one. But today i couldnt help myself. I do when my food experience is poor. This is a very authentic mexican restaurant. Beans and rice are truly awesome with every plate but very stingy on the Salsa. Otherwise 5 stars!!

Fountain drinks only, no Mexican coke, free chips and salsa, great menu with specials for weekends. No salsas or hot sauce except what comes with the chips. Be prepared for pickled onions on your Pollo tacos. Steak was good.

Stopped in this venue this past March after leaving Old Orchard Mall and looking for Mexican eats on the way home.

I typically put Google maps to good use exploring options outside of wherever I visit and decided to go with El Tapatio on the Glenview/Niles border.

Relatively cozy dining space, food was good but portions a bit small for the price, our server was very welcoming & friendly but kinda slow & forgetful and my wife’s friend actually teased him in Spanish about forgetting to bring certain items.

Seems like it could be a kickin’ place to have cocktails as well, the Margarita I had was good but small and indeed my wife and her friend both mentioned to the server in Spanish that I wanted a jumbo and still received the small size.

If ever passing thru the area again, I’ll leave it up to my wife if in the mood for Mexican fare and if she feels this place is worth coming back to. Certainly hope for the best in the future for the owner(s).

One of my top favorite Mexican restaurants around. I’m big on flavor! This place definitely knows how to season the food to perfection. I never liked shrimps like ever!!! This place made me obsessed with their “Camarones Juanita” let me tell your guys, DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING! They are to die for especially if u love spicy. They come with a grilled garlic toast as well that is like a match made in heaven. Everything else is so good as well I have t had anything I did t like so 10/10 for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me and my family were exploring the small town and figured to try a new restaurant so we decided on coming here.
Finding the place and parking was a breeze, the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. I loved the decorations, and the seating next to the windows.

The service was nice, and attentive. We didn’t have any problems with the waiters and waitresses.

But the downfall of this place was the food. Let’s start with the chips & salsa. The chips were good, the salsa actually had a kick to it! I was pleasantly surprised. Though if you can’t handle spice, I’d stay away from it. Now onto the guacamole, it was bland and had no taste to it. The presentation was pretty but that was about it.

For one entree, we had the carne asada tacos. Though I’d mostly call them cilantro tacos. There was barely any meat on the tacos, and plus the tacos were very small. The price for the portion size definitely isn’t worth it. You get a little bit of rice and some beans. The rice is rice, nothing special. The beans were pretty good, I enjoyed how smooth they were.

Moving onto the other entree which was the chicken chimichanga. It was decent, it wasn’t bad but if I did ever return I’d try to go for something else. Maybe I was expecting something more.

Overall, I’d go somewhere else. Especially for the price range for the level of food and portion controls.

The best Mexican food I ever had. It’s small, family own place. Food is fresh made with quality ingredients. I’m huge fan of spicy Mexican food and I’m very picky about freshness. This place is awesome. Great friendly stuff. On my second visit I tried salmon and burrito al pastor. Both dishes was delicious.
