I meant to post a review before. Every time I have visited this location, your workers are very friendly. Tonight my husband went to pick an order up for us. He said there was only one employee working. He said the employee was very friendly and very patient even though he was the only one there. I have to admit, I am very impressed that there are still companies out there that have workers that can be respectable and friendly. I didn’t have the same experience at another pizza place in the area last month. Keep up the good work Papa John’s!

No one acknowledges you when you walk in unless you flag someone down. 5 employees there and they just ignore me. They try not to make eye contact. Just a simple acknowledgement would be courteous. Just crappy service.

I ordered takeout at this location since I was down the road (for convenience). I searched the address and saw the previous ratings.. I will admit I was feeling a bit nervous. I showed up, the person who helped me was nice. I asked for napkins and my pizza was great! They seemed well staffed and I believe everyone should give this location a shot!

Worst Papa John’s I’ve ever ordered from by far. I asked for extra marinara sauce and the pizza looks like they didn’t even put sauce at all. I had pieces of mushrooms and I didn’t order mushrooms. Never again.

I visited this Papa John’s
June 2, 2025 and had one of the most unprofessional and concerning experiences I’ve ever had at a food establishment.
As I walked in, a large male employee was shouting aggressively across the store at a female coworker. His tone was loud, hostile, and completely inappropriate for a workplace—especially in front of customers. He continued yelling even as he approached the front to take my order.
This same employee, who was clearly working in the kitchen, then stepped to the register to take orders—wearing a filthy black apron and no gloves, with visibly dirty hands. This raised serious cross-contamination concerns, especially since he was handling food and then immediately touching the register. It made me question what kind of hygiene protocols, if any, are being followed here.
There was no clear menu available at the counter, and the store itself looked below standard for a national chain.
I walked out without ordering. This location needs an immediate health inspection and management review. No customer should have to choose between being disrespected and being exposed to unsafe food handling. This isn’t just bad service—it’s a red flag.

The absolute worst papa John’s I’ve ever ordered from. Last time they sent the delivery driver to our house THREE times because they could not get our pizza order right. No resolution. This time, they were short staffed and needed to use a door dash driver. No problem. They canceled and placed my order again BEHIND a 40 pizza order that came in in between them adjusting my order. Absolutely ridiculous. After over an hour of waiting for my pizza to leave the store (after I was promised on the phone for it to be delivered in 30 minutes or less) we canceled. Absolutely never wasting my time again.

Pizza was terrible! The dough was way undercooked, and the crust was basically still raw on the inside. For $20 for 1 pizza I’d expect premium pizza but tasted like overpriced Little Ceasars. I’ll steer elsewhere from here on out.

I would actually give this store 0 stars if that was an option. Do NOT order from this store. I have given this store several opportunities to correct previous mistakes but the order I made today took the cake and solidified my decision to NEVER order from this store again.
I ordered two large pizzas, pizza bites and a dessert at 5:33pm and it did not arrive to my house until 7:35pm. I called the store twice inquiring about my order and they could not locate my pizza. The individual who answered the phone did not seem to know what was happening in the store and had to place me on hold several times. Once my order was delivered it was cold and unappetizing! It had more sauce then cheese or the one topping I selected.
I am beyond disappointed with the service and quality of food from this store!! I would not recommend anyone to order from this store or utilize their delivery service.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Went here for the very first time. Ordered a takeout pizza and I was waiting in the waiting area no chairs, but that was OK. It was only gonna be eight minutes. The man who made my pizza was actually the manager and was wearing no gloves. that was my first red flag then another employee was sniffling and blowing his nose, totally lost my appetite and asked for a refund which they gave me. Whoever owns this franchise location or is running it that is superior to the manager on duty should be ashamed of themselves. I will spread the word throughout New braunfels to never go to this location. It’s absolutely gross and disgusting and there is zero excuse that they would not wear gloves when making pizzas.
