Great place, I often have breakfast here. The restaurant is conveniently located, the food is delicious, the service is good. I recommend it to everyone.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, so I finally went for lunch. I had heard that the Chinese salad was especially good, so I ordered it. The crispy texture combined with the chicken made it very filling honestly, it was too much for me to finish on my own. The only slight downside was that the flavor became a bit monotonous toward the end, but overall it was delicious and satisfying. I would love to come back and try other items on the menu. The restaurant has both indoor and terrace seating, with a fair number of tables, so I think it is easier to find a seat on weekdays than on weekends. Inside, they also sell cheeses, sweets, and other small items, and you can enjoy breakfast dishes, desserts, or drinks depending on your mood. The interior is stylish and clean, and the terrace offers a pleasant open-air feel. I also noticed many guests bringing their dogs, which makes it a very pet-friendly spot. Overall, the atmosphere and menu variety make me want to return and explore more dishes in the future.

Joan’s missed the mark on so many different things.

Service was great from anyone I interacted with and I love the layout and design of the space.

However, the food and coffee are just lackluster.

The vanilla muffin thing had great texture, it was fluffy, pillowy soft, and a thin crust. Flavor wise, it was poor. There was hardly any vanilla flavor and besides the cinnamon sugar coating, it was just like eating a plain cupcake.

the crust on the mixed berry scone was fantastic, so crispy and caramelized. But it was so thick, dense, and doughy with nothing to account for it.

And then the coffee . . . I ordered an Americano and the barista asked if I wanted milk in it. I’ve never had, seen, or been asked if I want milk in an americano. Fine, not a big deal. But then I took the first sip and got the bitter taste of burnt coffee and a mouth full of coffee grounds. I took a second sip and threw out the cup.

Sad experience all around

Joan’s on Third is a fantastic spot to visit for so many different reasons. They have both a sit in option or you can grab and go. They have a terrific assortment of all varieties of food. Whether you are looking for something to eat and drink for breakfast or looking to bring something to a party they have you covered. They also have a great selection of pre made meals that looked great.

The avocado toast I had was delicious and the pastries were also to die for. The ability to accommodate so many different needs is remarkable. Whether you want to come in and sit or looking for a grab and go kind of option they have you covered.

Bit of a clichè Studio City joint, but I like it. Are there better options around for coffee? Yeah probably. Does the in house market attract me regardless for things I cannot find in any other shop? Yeah probably. 4/5

I went to this restaurant in October 23 as I was in LA visiting friends.
We managed to get a 4 seater table which was perfect as we had 3 adults and 2 kids so we managed to put a high chair on the end.
So you order at one section which is easy to do.
Then you are given a number for your food.
We ordered a fried chicken sandwich, avocado toast, buttermilk pancakes and a salad.
It’s an average price for LA but I’m from the UK so I always grudge the price a little!!
But the food was great and the food arrived within 10 minutes.
Worth a try if you are in the area. It was very busy!

Great little deli cafe style breakfast and brunch place, with limited seating, which can fill out fast. I enjoy the wait in line to order and then find a seat cafes as it feels faster and less of a wait time. Server didn’t look that interested, but all the other staff were exceptional and super friendly. Not a big menu, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the omelette was pretty good too. Street parking is available around the deli.

Chinese Chicken Salad was very disappointing. Chicken was dry, hard and chewy as if it was 4 day old chicken that had been sitting in the fridge. It was strange because I ate at the West LA location in October and it was very good. Chicken at that location was not battered and it was fresh. I won’t be ordering that salad again.

We popped in here for a quick bite and it was so lovely. Great atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious.

We went with 2 kids and the food was prepared hot, fresh and quickly. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes.

It all felt like something out of a Nancy Meyers movie. Great vibe, music and all in all a 10/10 experience
