First time visiting and really enjoyed it! We will definitely return when we are in town again.
I was expecting the dining room to be very loud, due to all the tvs, but on a Wednesday night at 6pm, I was pleasantly surprised with our ability to carry a conversation at our table without telling or feeling like it was loud, even though the dining room was more than half full.
The pretzel rods appetizer was fantastic! The pretzels were VERY hot, fresh and soft on the inside with a nice firmness to the outside. Both the cheese and mustard dips were delicious.
We enjoyed a refreshing NC apple cider that was very flavorful.
The French fries were so good! They remind me of smaller Rod Robin fries with a hint of batter, got and fresh.
The burger had a great char grilled flavor, was juicy, a large patty that was also quite thick and cooked perfectly at medium. I love avocado on my burgers and this did not disappoint.
The ribs were delicious and we would highly recommend. They fell off the bone and were very tender and flavorful.
The buffalo chicken wings (boneless) were pretty good.
The chocolate cake was to die for. Could easily feed 2 people.

We ordered 2 vodka sodas when we arrived. The drinks were delivered to our table completely filthy! There was a strange red substance stuck to the inside of both of our glasses as well as floating inside the glasses. As we waited for our side salads to be delivered, we kindly asked for the drinks to be remade as we had no idea what old food or whatever was in our drinks. We should have just gotten up and left at this point. Our salads were delivered and there was a brown substance in the bottom of the ranch cup! I will probably never come back here again.

I do many reviews and over 80 percent are positive. In this case, underwhelming. The portions were very small for the price, the food fish n chips was bland, blandest cod I’d ever eaten. Fries rather limp and not fresh, Cole slaw was tasteless.
There are many other similar places that are far more generous in their servings for less cost and the food is actually tasty.
Suggest increasing portion and ensuring fresh, tasty dishes because ultimately customer satisfaction is your best advertisement.

Been coming to Ale House for years and Krishna is hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had. From the moment you sit down, she makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Her energy is vibrant, professional, and genuine — I love when I show up and she’s behind bar.
She’s fast, attentive, and knows her drinks. Even when it’s busy, she stays calm, keeps a great attitude, and makes sure everyone at the bar feels seen. She’s a pro for real.

It was my family’s first time at Carolina Ale House and it was a great night. CeCe, our server was fantastic. She checked in regularly and we didn’t need to ask for anything. She was kind, patient and made sure to let us know about the special for the night. I’d request her again if I could. Thank you for the hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Amber was absolutely amazing! What a sweet angel that took care of all of our needs and made us have a great time! Our last few times have been rocky at best and amber made it all worth it!! We’ll see here next Friday!
