Intergalatic themed cafe serving sandwiches and soups. Great variety of soups (frozen and ready to serve). Try the resurrection chicken soup which is loaded with flavor and spicy (because of the jalapenos). The rueben sandwich was good.
I plan to return try out other sandwiches and soups. Prices were fair relative to portion size.
Service was good, but prepared to wait as nothing was pre-made.

A longtime gem. Under newer ownership, the food is just as good as the original. Check out the freezer filled with an assortment of their amazing soups! Service isn’t the fastest, but food is prepared as ordered. Decor is fun (Star Trek!), although starting to show its age (the poster of Mr Spock in the ladies room is getting ragged). Parking is a bear, many of the nearby spots must be paid online.

Stopped by this little neighborhood gem, way back from work, freezing Chicago evening, under the weather, craving a hot bowl of chili. Good decision. One of the best bowls of chili I have had and the salad was great too. The subs and other soups look good as well.

The fries were delicious nice and crispy. The beef however was not as I thought it would be. It has a lot of fat and was sort of rubbery. It has a nice flavor but probably wouldn’t buy it again. I’m very picky about meat so maybe it was just me I don’t like to eat fat or crissle. If you enjoy soup they have tons of different soups to buy which I plan to try on my next visit. The place is sort of old and could use a good cleaning but overall I’d go back to try the soup.

Absolutely love starship restaurant soups are great and sandwiches are even better. I like that they have a wood variety of soups that are frozen so you can always take some to go. Staff is awesome

Fun sandwich place. Homemade potato chips. Since we were new in the neighborhood and just getting to know them they offered us a bag of free chips homemade right there. And said we were free to sample things when we came in just let them know that we were new. They have a great selection of soups and stews packaged in single serving containers for takeout. Very friendly place. And as you can see from the pictures, starship decor on the walls. Next time I go I’m going to take home some soup or stew. Give it a try I’m sure you’ll like it. Practically gourmet with really reasonable prices.

Good news and bad news.
Good news is that the *good* fries are back, baby!!! Battered and covered in garlic butter and parm. Perfect.
Bad news is that my patty melt was made with what appears to be a flavorless, frozen, factory formed patty. I don’t remember the old Starship using those, and Kettlestrings certainly doesn’t, so I don’t know how this decision was made.
I’ll definitely be back for the fries and other sandwiches probably, but won’t likely be ordering the patty melt or any burgers again.
Hopefully I can come back to this review with a happier update on the burgers.

Looking for Best Corned Beef near Oak Park? Definitely give Starship Sandwiches and Subs a try. Corned beef did not disappoint, tasty beef piled high slathered in dressing, not so oily, not so messy. Pickle and sauerkraut are nicely sour. Can’t try a sub shop without a cheesy beef… only complaint was not enough marinara, otherwise moist beef and good bread. Fries are extra crispy and coated. Soups caught my eye on the way out, until next time Starship, dinner was a blast!

First time here and the food was awesome! We had the La NASA sub and the warm Jefferson sandwich. Both were great and came with the home made chips. The meat on the Jefferson sandwich was so tender. I will definitely be back soon!

Out and about on the West side burbs and we found this place for lunch. Now this, is a Deli. I had the cream of mushroom soup with The Jefferson and babe had the Chicken Cheddar soup and The Italian. Whoa! They make their own chips with your sandwich. This is why we are foodies and we always find the best places to eat. The soups are exceptional. Absolutely will be back.
