Happy birthday to me! This is the best Chinese food in Jacksonville!
Me and my family love the food and service. Our waiter was Brusel, he was professional, funny, cool, friendly, and informative with the menu. The restaurant was clean, served large portions of food and affordable.

We’ve been coming to YH Dim Sum for almost a year, and the food has changed over time. It used to be a solid 5-star experience, but lately the dim sum doesn’t taste as good, and some items are no longer offered at dinner. The atmosphere and service are still great, but the food feels like it’s lost some of its authentic Cantonese flavor.

We ordered the salt & pepper calamari, crabmeat & shrimp dumplings, and the beef with mix greans in brown sauce. The calamari was my favorite. The dumplings were meh. The beef & mixed greens we’re good. The waitress took a very long time to come back to check on us. We’d only ordered appetizers and it took so long for her to come back and take our entree order, and a nother long wait to get a Togo box and the check. She wasn’t walking around for us to flag down, either. It was practically empty so I’m not sure why she disappeared for so long.

Tried YH for the first time tonight on V-Day. The service was okay. Our waiter took awhile returning to the table. It wasn’t until an elderly lady approached us and asked if we’ve placed our orders yet and after finding out ever been waiting for awhile , the waitress returned. She said she forgot about us…. But anywho …
We order the salt and pepper chicken wings , honey walnut shrimp , seafood pineapple fried rice , sesame chicken and the crab and shrimp bun or something like that. Overall I’ll give the food a 6/10.
I wouldn’t recommend the sesame chicken. It was over cooked and the sauce was very stick with a strong honey flavor. It had a peculiar taste that didn’t really give sesame chicken . It was extremely over cooked to the point you were eating crispy batter with no meat inside . It was just off and disappointing .
The fried rice was good just lacking flavor
The honey walnut shrimp was good but the cream sauce was over bearing. It was extremely thick and being a texture person , it just wasn’t hitting .
The crab and shrimp bun was pretty good along with the salt and pepper chicken. The S and P chicken needed more flavor tho , but they were fresh and tasty with chili sauce .
I would come back and try different dishes .

I ordered chicken fried rice and found a piece of chicken that looked extremely questionable and unsafe to eat. It had a strange color and texture, and it completely ruined the entire meal. I had already taken a few bites before noticing it, and immediately stopped because it did not look like something that should ever be served to a customer.
The fact that I had to throw out my whole meal is unacceptable. Food safety and basic quality control should be a priority. After seeing other recent reviews mentioning spoiled or lukewarm food, this seems to be an ongoing issue and not just a one-time mistake.
I won’t be ordering from here again.

We stumbled upon YH after leaving a bday party a couple months ago. We have been twice so far and absolutely LOVE IT! The family style meals are awesome! The rice, soup, chicken dishes are all amazing! They have a huge variety of Dim Sum all equally delicious! Everyone is very welcoming, the service is excellent and the food comes out extremely fast! I would definitely recommend them and can’t wait to go back again!!!

For someone tired of Chinese buffet this restaurant is a good option. I was surprised that we now have a Cantonese style of Chinese Cuisine. I love the place, just like the good old Chinese restaurants. Nothing fancy, the place was clean and spacious. I am happy that we can still talk and not shout at the top of our voice. We picked out the set of 4 to 6 people which actually fed the 10 of us. We just added dimsum in our order for those who wants to try it. The portions for the meal was pretty generous. Our waitress made a lot of difference as well. She made sure we got our orders right, drink refilled promptly and when its time to pay she patiently accomodated our request to split the check. I like the fact that we got the attention and time that we needed specially that all of us were already hungry. Everything was delicious and everyone in our party agreed. Thankful that we have a new restaurant that caters the taste and tge service that we were looking for. I hope that they can sustain the quality and taste of their food as well as the good customer service. We hope to be back and this place is highly recommended.

We enjoyed the food but felt so put off that the dishes weren’t served with rice. We got expensive entrees with meat, tofu and vegetables and assumed they’d be served with rice (like in every single Chinese restaurant we’ve ever been to).
It’s very casual inside, compared to the building it’s in. It could use a professional decorator to improve ambiance.
I’d go again to try the hot por and dumplings.

I typically don’t like to leave negative reviews specially for restaurants because I know how hard these restaurant owners work.
But yesterday with an exception, I went there with a group of girlfriends for a Mother’s Day dinner. The service was super slow. Our waitress never brought our water despite we asked for it multiple times after she took her order and brought out the first couple dishes she disappeared for a good 30 minutes. We had a flat multiple people down to get their attention. Which is wild because it was not busy!
Then I asked for a Sprite three times and never received it in the end they brought me a child size to go Sprite cup, which I did not ask for.
The gratuity was added already since we had a party over six people however it wasn’t mentioned in the original bill, so we thought that it was not included therefore, we added an extra 18%.
I feel like this experience was lacking a lot of professionalism and training. Hopefully this restaurant would be able to improve soon because I do enjoy eating there and the food is good.
