This was a 1st visit and a last for us. For this to supposedly be an up scale steak house they leave something to be desired. The dinner rolls served are suspiciously similar to sister Schuberts dinner rolls purchased at a local Foodlion. My wife’s crutons in her salad were hard as rocks with a watered down salad dressing. Her ground steak was dry. The steak sauce provided for her food was flavorless, My knife handle was coming apart and the blade was dull. My baked potato was not fully cooked. My Steak was not cooked the way i ordered it and neither was my wife’s ground steak. The waitress/bartender was awesome. To add insult to injury, we were given 2 gift certificates from a friend that were no longer being honored due to the restaurant being under new ownership. That would not have been an issue if the food and cutlery had lived up to the restaurant’s reputation. We also felt like we were not allowed seating in the main dining room due the fact that we were dressed in casual attire.

Everything was amazing. The people the food and atmosphere. Steak Temps are cooked perfectly.. Fried green tomatoes are some of the best I’ve had in years.. The team knows about the signature sauces that are offered. The grilled shrimp were about amazing.. they are a great option for any time you want a great steak..

This place has the best French soup I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned and brought in its own le crescent to keep warm; mouth watering. The steak was perfectly seasoned and delicious, I see why it’s won best steak tender years in a row. The owner is unbelievably friendly and came out to speak to us. Iris was very welcoming to us and her bubbly personality made us feel like we were stepping into someone home for a party than of a restaurant.

On 12/29/25 we received great customer service from Server SYDNEY S. She took our order quickly and efficiently, and brought our beverages and meals after a short wait. Sydney also has a pleasant personality, and she provided attentive follow-up service throughout our visit. This was an excellent dining experience at Beefeaters of Southern Pines!

Food was good. My wild caught shrimp was rather small so not at all sure they were wild caught. Connie our waitress was good, but seemed to be in a hurry taking our order we had no time for questions about some of the food choices before making a decision. She Seemed to want to get our order and move on…..

We had dinner there on 12/11 and this was our first visit recommended by me and it missed the mark for us unfortunately. Our Waitress was good drinks came out slow but she was nice and did a good job, the apps were really good but maybe because it was a Thursday and not busy our steaks were mediocre at best especially for the cost of a ribeye, mine was ordered medium came out medium well (it had no color to it at all even in the middle) and had a weird taste to it but my wife’s prime rib was good (she said) but we were hoping it was going to be better as we had invited guests from out of state and we haven’t been there in some time.

Not only was the food great but the service as well. We had the privilege of speaking with the owner for a little and it was lovely to hear about the business and meet the person behind it. Very kind, passionate, and giving. Will definitely be coming back

This was disgusting. My whole family hated every single component on every dish except for the French onion soup. The food was horrible my steak came out BLUE immediately my server was very sweet and polite and took it back, they brought back said steak which was highly overcooked and dry, it was inedible. I will not go back. The owner was very sweet so we’re the servers!

This review would be 3 stars if the staff didn’t replace the chicken that was impossible to cut without ripping it. Looked tough, but its texture was not as bad as it looked. Decide if you want handheld food in the bar or the main dining area because they do not share menus. We were not at the bar and liked the salad and the free additional ingredients, but it is served it on a plate so hard to cut up the large pieces without making a mess. The prime rib was tender and very good but not the best ever, as the seasoning was just OK. The options for fries are steak cut or a whole potato sliced in 1/2 inch slices, then fried crispy on the outside. Thank you again for replacing the chicken meal, great service!
