New Mexican restaurant in Waukegan and it is so good. They have the best birria tacos and shrimp tacos, all made with handmade tortillas. I’ve also had the chilaquiles with steak and they were amazing. This is hands down the best birria I’ve had. The staff is very friendly and you can tell it is family owned and operated. It used to be a billiards spot and has recently been completely transformed into a restaurant. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious! The tortillas are homemade, even the tortillas they use for the tacos! The sope de asada was so yummy and it even had pico de gallo on top.The torta with queso fundido was so good. 10/10 recommend! Be careful bc the red salsa is very spicy!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst service ever. Not a single friendly face food wasn’t all that. Only good thing was homemade tortillas. Besides that, no thank you! First and last time! If you want great service and great authentic food go to El Vale in Waukegan. Save your time and money and give it to people who aren’t stuck up and treat people poorly! 0 STARS!!
