The Chile needed to be grilled longer and have the seeds taken out of the chile relleno burrito. The Chile Verde was spicy and good, but the texture of the meat felt like it was old, and hard. The red tamale didn’t have much flavor or meat, like it had been microwaved because it had a hard burned spot in the middle. The bacon and egg breakfast burrito was good

So thjs place is ok because most food is good..not all. And its spicy which I like. But they do use the microwave alot so idk how fresh the food is and my main complaint is that they take forever to get your order..omg its looong.

Green enchiladas are not bad at all! The pastor tacos are top-notch, especially with the oily corn tortillas. The camaron a la diabla is very good and pretty spicy! Would be better if they used homemade flour tortillas for the burritos.

The chile rellanos were very chewy. There was no seasoning to the food very bland. Beans and rice were ok. Tortillas were store bought.

J-Peno’s #1 is a reliable go-to for a quick and satisfying bite, whether it’s breakfast or lunch. Their burritos are consistently solid—flavorful, well-portioned, and made fresh. The menu has great variety, and they keep things simple and to the point.

If you dine in, they’ll bring out chips and salsa, which is a nice touch and gives the place that local, welcoming vibe. It’s not a flashy spot, but when you need something fast and filling in the neighborhood, this is a great choice. Definitely worth keeping in your local rotation.

Food was good it’s just there service of food time was like 30 minutes wait. For me it’s too much time to wait. I think they need to improve that.

Breakfast burritos are alright. I also ordered green chicken tamales and they were molded. Kind of disappointing because I took a 25 minute ride just to get there, THEN had to take another 25 minute ride back so I can get my money back. You would think they’d check what they’re sending out. Glad I wasn’t in a rush and looked over everything before we ate. We could’ve became really sick with the black mold.
