Restaurant was nice, clean and decorated for Christmas. A small bar when you walk in. We were seated quickly and given salsa and chips. Salsa was chunky and mild, very good. My husband ordered beef tacos for an appetizer, which he enjoyed. A nice crunchy taco always hits the spot. For dinner I had the Paella Marinera. The flavor in the rice was very good. The calamari, cod fish, and shrimp were tender. The mussels and clams were so dry & overcooked, I couldn’t even get them out of the shells. Very disappointing. My husband had the Mixed Grill. The steak, while very thin, was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The chicken and Chorizo were also very good. Service was good & quick. By the time we were leaving, there was a wait with a line out the door. Food was worth trying and coming back for.

First time here. So excited to find this place! Friendly helpful staff – so nice! We sat at the bar. Food was phenomenal! I had mole poblano and the sauce was so good. My husband raved about the skirt steak with shrimp. He absolutely loved the sauce. And fresh delicious margs! We will be back

Very good service but the food was awful. The paella – no meat version – came with overcooked everything. The shrimp and calamari were chewy to the point of rubbery and indigestible. The white fish was dried out and tasteless. The clams were tough and the mussles were only passable. The rice was decent but would you pay $30+ for just decent rice? The beer was excellent but I needed something stronger to get through this meal. Another diner at our table could not eat the mahi mahi tacos as the fish tasted spoiled but said the rice and beans were good.
Too many decent Mexican restaurants around to have to settle for this.
The pan flute player – the live entertainment – . was loud enough to discourage conversation.
Oh well.

SOOOO DELISH!!! Went out to lunch with my mom and sister!! We LOVE this place for Mexican! We go to all of them even the one in Patchogue depending where we are! We started with chips AND margaritas OF COURSE , my mom and Nat had the seafood soup and I got the garlic soup that I LOVEEE!! Then we all had the Shrimp Chipotle as our main meal with a side of sour cream!! We get this dish all the time as we love it! We do request it comes on a platter as you see in the pic! Otherwise I believe it normally comes in a skillet! So depends on what you prefer! They used to only make the platter style so we love the lettuce and tomatoes and always request the old way! Then we had ANOTHER round of margaritas and topped it off with flan! Everything was EXCELLENT ~ and we were all super stuffed for lunch! ~ def recommend!!! (Oh~ and my mom doesn’t drink alcohol , so she orders some mango smoothie she loves!)

Our family needed a quick bite and we stopped at Don Quijote without knowing what to expect. All four of us loved our dishes, from soup, nachos to chimichangas and enchiladas. Service was great and a musician serenaded the restaurant. Perfect ending to our visit to Long Island.

My little sister birthday: Definitely a bad experience, first of all our server got a bad attitude when we asked for an extra chair to our 7 tab mind you the restaurant was half way empty. She kept coming to our table asking us if we were ready to order but we only had three minutes that we just sat down with TWO MENUS! Only!!!. We’ve had been to this place several times and we never got this type of treatment, it was really uncomfortable in every avenue. My mother tried ordering something for her and I ended up explaining the m nu while the server is looking at us stank. In general it was a really uncomfortable experience and definitely not worth the money. 30$ for a plate of food but the rice, meat & shrimp chewy as hell!. Come on! I don’t know what was really going through their mind. At the end we asked for the check tip was included which it’s fine, however they decided to do 20%!! Without letting us know, 18% it’s the legal tip percentage for a table of 8! Server did not deserve 20% whatsoever however, we saw it and we let it ride because we understand how it is to work at a restaurant. Moving forward definitely not coming back to this restaurant; you won’t get nowhere if you don’t know how to treat your customers but thanks for the ugly experience anyways.

Went for restaurant week. Not impressed. Steak was chewy and small portion, dessert was small portion. Wrong beans were given with meal. Chicken was chewy as if frozen. Shrimp were definitely frozen. Can’t recommend. There are many other mexican restaurants that are much better for the money.
