We are from San Diego, so of course you would have to be authentic Mexican to impress us.
That didn’t happen, but let me start with the drinks, mango jalapeno margarita. It was delicious, it was large, and very colorful. We would come here again for a margarita.

We sat down and were presented menus, followed by corn tortilla chips and salsa.
I’m sorry to report that the chips are straight out of a bag, and are served in a stainless steel bowl that resembles my dog’s water bowl. It was weird. And the salsa wasn’t too bad but you could tell it was not made in the kitchen, it was in my opinion out of a jar/ container. Listen, if you are claiming that you are a true authentic Mexican restaurant then you should take the time to make the chips and salsa. How hard is that? Very disappointed in just that.
Dinner was just not authentic either, and everything was bland and soggy.
I chose the chicken, shrimp and pineapple fajitas. I pictured everything coming out on a sizzling plate, steaming in front of me, and some blackened onions, peppers and pineapple. I received the opposite. The ingredients were there, but it was prepared by someone who hasn’t eaten fajitas very much. No seasoning that you could taste. No cilantro, and just drenched in some sauce kind of soupy. The pineapple chunks were the size of pieces of corn and hardly had taste. They should be big chunks! Everything should be grilled having some black marks at least! It rather looked like it was scooped out of a big bowl into an empty pineapple shell. I ate about a third of it because I was hungry and because it was like $24. Anyway, don’t order this until they fix it
The fried rice was not fried at all. It’s called Spanish rice when you take white rice and mix it with some tomato base making the rice reddish pink. Why would you put that on your menu as fried rice I’ll never know. Did they have Chinese on their mind?
Next let’s move on to the California fish tacos. These were battered fish, not crispy at all, the coating was bland and overall pretty rubbery. Fish tacos in Mexico and California come with corn tortillas, the fish of course, shredded cabbage, a creamy lime sauce and some wedges of lime. But not here. Here you get the fish of course but the coating reminded us more of a corn dog, and it had shredded lettuce, another type of sauce and no lime wedges at all. There were 3 tacos, the portion was good but the tacos were bland. It made us wonder who was from Mexico in the kitchen? I think someone should take a trip south to Mexico to really experience authentic Mexican food. Not Elkton Mexican food. There is a big difference.
It’s unfortunate, but I won’t try it again. Put things on your menu like carne asada or Pollo asada tacos and burritos. Serve your dish with at least a teaspoon of guacamole. Don’t make me order $15 worth. It cost us $75 tonight and we didn’t like it. The final blow at the end was a surcharge because I’m using a credit card. Obviously, I don’t recommend this place unless your expectations are low.

Decent restaurant, authentic. Prices were a little high. Wife & kid lived the burria tacos. The mole’ was ok. Appetizer sampler was not worth the cost.

My daughter & I are visiting the area for an event and saw this restaurant fairly close to us.
Really cute place. Excellent staff. Super nice & friendly . Our entrees were delicious. We had chicken fajitas, spinach enchiladas and chips & queso .
For dessert we the xango – deep fried banana cheesecake & ice cream. Just delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area !

The restaurant has a great setup and is spacious, making it ideal for banquets. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. The salsa and chips were impressive—better than usual. I had birria tacos, which are my favorite. I’ll definitely return.

I really believe in second chances, but after my experience last night, I’ve realized this just isn’t the place for us.
My first visit about a year ago left such a bad taste in my mouth. My coworker and I had gone in specifically to have a nice dinner and catch up after work, but we were never given the chance to actually relax. The second we finished our food, we were told we had to leave because they needed our seats. Being rushed out like that was incredibly uncomfortable and completely ruined the evening.
Despite that, I went back last night with my husband, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, the value just didn’t match the high prices. We started with the nachos, which arrived burnt, and my fajita entree was a major disappointment. While other Mexican restaurants provide a generous spread of rice, beans, and toppings, this came with only a tiny portion of beans and some lettuce.
Between being rushed out in the past and being served burnt, under-portioned food last night, we’ve decided we won’t be returning. For the premium they charge, the hospitality and the meal itself should be much better.

My wife and I were staying in the Elkton and wanted some Mexican food. The negative reviews made us uneasy, but the online menu looked promising so we decided to give it a shot.
Very pleased that we did. Staff was friendly from the moment we walked in the door. The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic. The cilantro gave the salsa a fresh flavor with just the right amount of bite. We asked for some minor menu substitutions and the response was, “no problem!”
All in all, we had a great meal and will stop by again when we are in the area.

Good place for lunch special. Really liked the steak fajita and burrito espinaca, flavor and portion are good. I have been to this place a few time for happy hour and dinner as well, the one thing is margaritas isn’t very consistent with how strong they are.

Cute place recommended by friends. Margaritas were strong and flavorful with nice presentation. Guacamole was delicious! My husband had the street tacos, which he loved. I had the burrito bowl with shrimp and steak and an egg on top for brunch. The owner, Chris, provided excellent service and was very friendly. Highly recommend! We were visiting from out of town. I wish we had more places like this in South Jersey!
