If you are looking for the best steak in town, look no further than Salt. This visit was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was a hit.
The Standouts:
US Prime Tenderloin (300g): Cooked to absolute perfection. The quality of the meat was top-tier—incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful.
70-Hour Short Rib: This was a “wow” moment. You can tell the time and effort put into the slow-cooking process; it literally melted in the mouth.
Shrimps: A fantastic addition to the meal. Fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly prepared.

Had dinner here while staying at the Fairmont. Our server was very friendly and gave me some insight on the Jordanian wine I wanted to try. They start you off with bread service with 3 different house made butters. We then had the onion soup and wedge salad, both delicious. For entrees, we had the petite Waygu, cooked perfectly, and also the braised short rib, which was divine. Service was extremely attentive. I only managed to capture photos of the bread service because after that I was too immersed in my meal. If you’re staying at the Fairmont Amman definitely give it a try!

Honestly, you’d expect more from a 5-star hotel restaurant. The menu is limited, and the potato Greek salad we tried wasn’t good. We wanted to order the bone marrow on its own but were told we had to take the entire platter, which felt odd ; especially with breakfast-style sausages included. Overall, the food lacked seasoning; even the ribeye steak, though good quality, was bland.
Service was slow despite the restaurant not being busy, and the smoking/non-smoking division in an open-air area made no sense.
I’ve been to many steakhouses around the world, and this place has the potential to do much better, especially when it comes to menu variety and design.

Not only was the food amazing
But the service was so respectful and warming.
Chief Adham did an amazing job starting from the amouse bouch to the main course
For the appetiser we had potato greek salad and lobster orzo top notch.
And for the main course the best ribs and Australian ribeye.
Thank you to our waiter mr odai for the recommendations he provided.
And the for the management team mr khalid and ms ruba for the amazing evening and assuring that every thing was met with our palette.

The food is excellent, the service needs work. It’s clear the chef understands not only flavor pallettes and spices but also the textures and presentation. Flawless. It is a beautiful and comfortable restaurant but the service can use some help. I refilled my own water twice, was only asked how my meal was at the very end as they cleaned up (thankfully there were no issues), I waited a very long time for my bill as I filled this all out after waiting a while. One minor note of branding: under the bread they have their logo on wax paper and it was presented facing away from me. The 5 star experience is not here only because of the service that needs some refinement. I’m still waiting after posting. The staff seems to not be very attentive; they have some other priorities I guess. 1 star.

The salad was disappointing, and the service was just average. They didn’t bring the complimentary starter bread, and we only found out it was offered after seeing it served to other tables around us. That said, the steak was very good and definitely the highlight of the meal. Mixed experience overall.
