My husband and I were on our way to Volcano National Park and wanted to stop for a coffee and a quick on the go breakfast! We ordered the breakfast burrito and it was AMAZING! The pork was top notch. We both agreed that we don’t think we’ve ever had a better breakfast burrito! Definitely recommend for a quick bite and amazing vibes!

The owners here need to recognize their employee Leina who “rescued” what was a chaotic situation during breakfast. She was pleasant, remained calm and still had a smile. She should be considered for a managerial position. Food was good, coffee was good. Stock of coffee was barely there but it was bc a new location had recently opened. Leina said her commitment was to get restocked and have coffee back on the shelves. Good luck to the new location but we wanted to come here, the original location as we had visited before.

We really liked our food. Plenty of indoor seating with a few tables outside. Great beverages. Pretty slow service. Also there was a dog roaming around the restaurant which I felt was a bit gross for a restaurant

Food: their coffee tasted great! I forgot to ask if they can make it less sweet so I’d say to me their original flavoring is on the sweet side. However their coffee is probably by far the best one that goes super well with milk ✨ we ended up buying some packs of their grounded coffee and beans.
Service: it’s a small and hidden shop but the staff is warm and helpful.
Ambiance: deserted retro style overall. Cozy and chill.

Would be a ZERO, but I have to put 1 star to leave a review. When we arrived there was only 2 tables with people sitting and one of those was already eating. We sat for 40 minutes and no one came to ask what we wanted to drink or brought menus… we took ours from a table that left. 4 other customers came in to order coffee drinks at the counter and they were served and ordered made while we waited. Finally walked to the counter and asked if we needed to just order there and the lady was surprised and said she could come to the table, but I just told her we would order there. We asked for biscuits and gravy and she said she was put off gravy and biscuits, then as we began to order other things she said, we don’t sell waffles any more, we are out of pancakes, fish, chicken, avacado… it was 10am and they were open till 3… basically don’t serve or are out of everything on the menu… NOT a word of it until we walked up after almost 40 minutes after being seated by her… delete all photos of anything that looks good on Google for this place because they don’t serve it any more, almost all photos are from 2 and 6 years ago.

Great Breakfast Stop on the Way to Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach
We stopped in around 9am on a Friday and were pleasantly surprised to find it not too busy. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive.
We shared the Florentine Benedicts with house potatoes — beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced. We also tried the Biscuits and Gravy — the biscuits had a slight sweetness, which wasn’t quite my thing, but the gravy and sausage were excellent.
Overall, it’s a perfect spot to sit down, enjoy a quality breakfast, and sip on some good coffee before heading out to explore the island. Definitely recommend this as a solid breakfast stop!

We stopped by here one morning on the way to start a road trip. I would recommend this place because it is all local coffee from their coffee farm. Also, their prices are nice and they open the earliest. The lady at the counter was very nice and the coffee was good. The food looked bomb but we were too early for the kitchen.

Found this place after passing our usual one (Coffee Shack) because it was too packed. This place has fresh food and coffee! We had the chicken wrap, two eggs any style, iced coffee (the one without coconut) and fresh OJ. I also ordered an expresso which was delicious. The service was OK, not too helpful or friendly, just order what you want and then they bring you the check. We didn’t get any water or suggestions for food. Our server was neither welcoming nor rude, but the food was alright. The eggs were too light so it looked like they had been mixed with milk maybe? Or they just were not from healthy chickens? The chicken wrap was the star of the show. The wrap was fresh and the veggies were as well. My husband enjoyed it. The slaw was OK. The house fries were also OK. The overall experience was good and we would definitely return and try something else. They serve breakfast until noon and lunch all day until 3pm when they close. If you are not a breakfast person then this is a great spot. We will be back and update on the food when we do!

First, we had a wonderful breakfast. Loved the waffles with coconut. The coffee, service, and atmosphere brought us back for a second time. The coffee is amazing. We highly recommend. It’s worth it!!

The coffee shop itself is very neat, lots of seating options and nice view. The coffee was good, but the service and food were terrible. The server/host was rude, interrupted my husband mid-sentence because he was going to order two things but was curious about the size. She impatiently asked if she should come back to take the order, even though the place wasn’t busy at all. She had a very bossy and arrogant tone. The oatmeal came out looking gross, and tasted what it looked like. The muffin I ordered for my child was crumbly, and the cinnamon roll was cold and hard. My husband asked the kitchen staff to warm it up, but they didn’t know how (had to google it first). My other kid liked the waffles though. I never got my order after sitting there for 30 minutes, so we just paid and left. The lady didn’t seem bothered. We will not go again. The only reason we came in the first place was because the Coffee Shack was closed on Wednesday.
