Have eaten at this Subway several times and the staff go out of their way to make my sandwiches just right. It’s one of the only fast food spots in downtown Mesa, which helps make it an affordable option.

I had a doordash order to pick up from this location. It was a massive order, and through no fault of the two awesome gentlemen on staff, they did not have enough meatballs prepared to fulfill the order. The gentleman that I primarily interacted with was extremely apologetic and so very nice. I told him it was not a problem and that I would notify the customer. This employee was just so amazing and gracious and although I could see that he was under stress (from walking into an improperly prepared store via the prior shifts inadequate prepping) he was ever so polite and mild mannered. I tend to see a lot of employees of fast food restaurants become almost enraged at the littlest things, but that was not the case here. There was an older couple dining in when I arrived. They were just finishing up ordering their sandwiches when I walked in. They both had smiles on their faces and were chatting with the gentlemen I had the pleasure of speaking with. This guy is a kind person, speaking to customers like they’re old friends, instead of letting the fact that his shift was likely less than awesome, ruin his attitude towards customers. No doubt this guy had to work his shift doung double the work as it appeared he was doing the previous employees duties left undone as well as his own. It makes me happy to see younger people working hard and showing integrity and patience in the workplace. I didn’t get his name, or the other young man’s name, but to those amazing guys, you rock. Keep up the stellar work and excellent attitudes! People like y’all are the reason I will drive an additional 10 miles out of my way surpassing the same big chain restaurant on the way, specifically to go to locations such as yours, where y’all fine people are employed.
The store was immaculately clean. It smelled amazing. The fountain drink machine was clean as was the area around it. It was fully stocked of lids, straws, napkins, etc.
I’d say this is hands down, the best Subway I’ve been to in AZ. And I’ve been to so many.

This location was not up to par. The service was very slow, as the employees were on their cellphones having conversations that should not be had in front of customers. The prices were not well marked, leaving you wondering how much certain items were. Some items were very overpriced. The employees were not helpful about the menu. The employee forgot about the bacon that was warming and burnt it. She still put it on the wrap, which ruined the taste of the wrap. Even my friend’s sandwich wasn’t good. It was a disappointing experience and I would never come to this location again.
