At our Americus, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Order the blackened grilled white fish with rice and broccoli. Fresh, tasty, seasoned, perfectly cooked, great portion size, packed in the to-go container perfectly. I like how they even show you the food before they close it up and put it in the to-go bag. Better than Red Lobster and much cheaper too. Friendly, expedient service. Worth the 10-minute wait

I ordered clam strips and mozzarella sticks, i thought the mozzarella sticks were going to have more cheese in them, well, no they actually dont, but they were still good. The clam strips were definitely not what I remembered when I was little. But they were okay. I would come back to this place, but not too often.

Two piece fish with fries and hush puppies, and a three piece of fish with cold slaw . To take home we received fish that looked like tooth picks very small and did not receive the cold slaw. The fish was so small it was like a tooth picks.. I think my family will stick with long John silvers ask for fish they give you a good pice of fish . The rating I give is zero . It wasn’t worth the money we paid for tooth pick fish and not even received cold slaw.. Long John silvers it is for now on.. Captain D’s you need to do better with your portion of fish you give …

My wife and I just left this place about 30-45 minutes ago we order the fish family meal and the food was amazing and couldn’t have been cooked very long because it was delicious and we still have leftovers which is the pictures so my wife and I both ate and there’s that much food left with the coleslaw but I didn’t put it in the picture. Anyway the service was great and the workers were very nice so all in all it was a great experience and I highly advise eating here. We paid $37 and it was well worth it.

They Tried to ring me up a clam strip dinner. What i got was a small box of clams and a small box of fries. $15 for 2 appetizers, a coleslaw, and small drink.

I had a taste for Captain D’Souza today. I got the 3 piece battered fish, with green beans, and hush puppies. I asked for vinegar to go on my fish. The vinegar was given to me in a small, black cup. I poured the vinegar in my plate, as I had an empty slot, and could better dip the fish. Somebody please tell me what is this in my vinegar. I tell you, the more I eat out, the more I’d rather prepare my own food at home!

Just left the restaurant after having an unexpected amazing lunch with my Hubby and our youngest Son. I commended the cooks on a meal well prepared and taste like they cared about what they were doing to present their skills in an outstanding manner. Last Saturday near closing I came in an ordered $85 worth of food for my family. I was expecting ill workers due to my coming in so late. I was surprised by the staffs friendliness. Tesla and Xavier all the staff did an excellent job. The food was great!! The service was great!! These employees are doing a wonderful job . Staff really can make or break a restaurant and I wanted you to know they are some good workers.
