My experience of takeout has always been less than desirable. The food quality, items missing, etc. Paid extra for mush and onion and got like 2 of them. I was sad honestly.
I feel that their takeout system could be better. Sometimes you can stand at the door for 5 minutes or longer before someone stops to ask. Signs could be added.
Maybe dining in is better.
Parking lot is tight at peak hours
Small but loud and lively atmosphere.

The food was definitely good. Great would be debatable. Service was quick and friendly. I felt like the pork chop had a fair amount of fat to it. The chocolate cake left my palate confused: light without a strong chocolate flavor. I guess it’s for some people, but each bite left me unsatisfied. Thought everything was reasonably priced. Will return, though, to try more of the menu.

First off, nobody spoke Irish! That’s fine, I can’t speak Irish or Gaelic. Very busy on Friday nights. I am not certain if you need a mask. The young girl who greeted everyone who entered was busy doing two jobs, so seating people was a little slow. Seats are spread out so that slows things down a bit. I sat at the bar and service was still slow. The bartender, like the rest of the staff, were busy. All of the staff were husling. I ordered a ginger beer and a dill chicken burger with sweet potato fries. It was good.
Outside seating and Wifi available. Very loud inside. You may want to go early.

Excellent service on the floor. Ordered the Caesar Salad and chicken was suggested. Does it come crispy? Why yes, it does. Only one TV, but it’s crystal clear when sitting at the bar. This is my favorite place now. Ima miss it. We’ll definitely come back!

July 29, 2021 – First time in Presque Isle, we took a chance at the Irish Setter Pub . . . Great Call ! I’d rate this a solid 4.5 experience, but loved the comedy show with a fun server ( thanks Laurie) !

Of course an Irish Pub should offer at least 4 or 5 authentic Irish beers. Strike #1, no Smithwick’s, but they had Red Higgins ! I liked the plethora of Irish family “code of arms” ( family crest) on the wall! We watched a bit of the Red Sox game on the TVs over the bar area.

The Irish Setter Pub offered up a few Irish staples such as shepherd’s pie, and fish & chips. . . which we enjoyed! The steak tips may not be Irish, but were tasty!

The joke we heard:

I guess there’s a nearby town called Jasper, and we were asked . . .

“How can you tell the difference between a moose , and a girl from Jasper?”

Response. . . “ Oh 50 pounds and a red Flannel shirt!”

Kudos to Debi & Sonny Gustin for their 15 years operating a fine Irish pub in Presque Isle!

Suggestion: Need more Irish beers !
( by the next time I visit)

Steak can be one of the best meals but it has to be cooked right, with the advent of instant read thermometers this should be easy. The side salad was uninspired at best.
